Simon of Cana asks: ‘Lord! Would You not make known to us where exactly the heaven in which the angels dwell is, how great it is, and how great the world of the senses You mentioned might be?’
I say: ‘Friend, you are blind if you do not see and grasp this; since I said that heaven is infinitely great, how can you still ask about its size?! Spiritually, the kingdom of heaven extends everywhere eternally onward, just as endlessly as this endless space of worlds, of which your eye surveys only an inexpressibly smallest part.
‘This earth, the great sun, the moon and all the stars, which where they are consist entirely of exceedingly great worlds, some many thousand times a thousand million times greater than this earth—all this together, in relation to the endlessly great creation of the world of the senses, is far less in size and extent than the smallest dewdrop in relation to the entire great ocean, which is nevertheless so great that a good sailor would not sail over its whole surface in twice Methuselah’s lifespan. Yet the world of the senses so far, what has already been created, nevertheless has a boundary, beyond which there is still an endless eternal space. Compared with its most endlessly vast extent in all directions, the entire aforementioned creation of the whole world of the senses stands just as a moment of time does in relation to eternity.
‘The spirit world, however, is then as infinite within itself as the space that eternally ends nowhere!
‘But although space eternally has no end anywhere and is thus infinite in all directions in the most fully true sense, nevertheless in space’s most endless depths and distances there is no tiniest point of space where the Spirit of God’s wisdom and power would not be just as present as here at this place among you now. The true children of God, who distinguish themselves through proper love for God, the holy Father from eternity, and likewise in pure love for their neighbors, will receive power and authority in the great Father’s house beyond to fill the eternally unfillable space ever more and more with new creations!
‘But you are now still far too limited and cannot grasp what I have said to you. Yet I nevertheless tell you this: no mortal eye can behold, no ear hear, and no earthly sense ever grasp what awaits beyond in the kingdom of heaven those who become worthy to be called children of God!
‘For before the eyes of the true children of God, the earths, suns and moons will float like shimmering dust!
‘Therefore be not only hearers, but rather doers of My word!
‘Only through the deed will you recognize whether the words I have spoken to you and still speak have come to you from the mouth of a person or from the mouth of God!
‘But just as you yourselves should above all be true benefactors of My word if you wish to experience livingly in your hearts who He is who has given you this teaching and the commandment of love, so you should also urge all those to whom you will proclaim My word to action. For as long as the word remains stuck merely in the brain, it has no higher value than the empty braying of an ass, which others also hear. Only—
when the word penetrates the heart does it become alive, soon take possession of the will, which is the center of gravity of love, and from there urge the whole person to action.
‘Through such doing, a new person then comes into being within the old person, and My word then becomes a most genuine new flesh and blood!
‘And only this new person within you will loudly make known to you that My words are truly God’s words, which today and at all times of times have the same power, strength and effect as before eternities of eternities; for everything you see, feel, smell, taste and hear is in the ground of the ground nothing but the word of God!
‘He who before eternities commanded out of Himself the worlds, suns and moons to be, and set them in their wide orbits, now sets you in new paths of eternal life! (Matt. 19:40)
‘But I also add this: whoever receives you also receives Me; but whoever receives Me also receives Him who sent Me to you! This you should understand well.’
