My Kingdom Is an Inner Kingdom

Divine Revelation (in response to a prayer)

I will also answer your brother’s prayer. Truly, pride is a trap into which many fall. It is subtly set, so subtly that many overlook it.

But I also point you to another trap that is no less dangerous: out of sheer fear of committing oneself or forming an opinion of one’s own, taking no position as a precaution, being like a leaf in the wind and believing that in this way one can make no mistake.

It is true that no creature can ever penetrate My eternal truth. This naturally does not mean that the infinite depth of My truth does not exist, nor does it mean that aspects of it cannot be recognized by you—indeed, will be recognized on your path to Me.

To consider something right and say, “This is my truth,” has nothing yet to do with pride or know-it-all behavior. On the contrary, it is necessary so that each of you may find his standpoint, a foundation from which he can take the next steps and in this way also find himself.

Pride begins, My child, when you regard your view and insight as the only true one and condemn everything else because it does not fit into your worldview.

The children who have set out on the path to Me and strive for truth have been and continue to be warned by Me again and again about these pitfalls. But this must not tempt them to say, “Lord, I cannot find Your truth.” Therefore I tell you: “Then find your truth, a truth appropriate to your consciousness; struggle for it and live with it. And this ‘living with it’ will lead you onward; it will lead you to the next aspects of your truth and Mine, and in this way your understanding will slowly build up like a mosaic.

“Do not believe that with the first insight you have already reached the end; but do not put this insight aside either, for it is the beginning of your path. Test it if you are not yet sure, and you will discover whether it is the right one. But do not remain standing still out of sheer fear that you might take a step in the wrong direction.

“Decide, and then take your steps, and the realization of what truth is will become ever clearer and more deeply rooted within you. In the end you will recognize that you have come very close to My heart and that there is only one truth, and it is this: love.

“Love—and strive with all your strength and according to your possibilities to live, and regard your insights as an important building block, but not yet as all-embracing truth, as the final word of wisdom.”

Then you will not fall into the trap of pride. Amen.

Divine Revelation

I came into this world to build a kingdom of peace, and I repeatedly emphasized that it would be an Inner Kingdom.

For those who walked with Me at that time and heard My message, this was something new; it was not easy for them to understand, just as it is still incomprehensible to the great majority of people today. Therefore I want to lead you a little deeper, because knowledge of this Inner Kingdom that I founded is important for every one of you, since you are closely connected with this, My kingdom.

The world has caused outward kingdoms to arise, and these are not seldom maintained by pure striving for power and violence. It is the forces of darkness, acting from the invisible realm, that seduce people and make them believe they can find security outwardly if only they belong to a kingdom powerful enough to hold its own against its enemies.

Such power does not endure in the long term, even if in your measure of time it may last for many centuries. Nor can these machinations of the forces of darkness be countered by building some kind of “counter-kingdom” outwardly, no matter how noble and good the intention or how morally demanding the resolutions. Every outward kingdom can be attacked and destroyed and, because it is ruled by human beings, already carries within itself the seed of decay.

Nor can one establish an outward church or group with the intention of thereby resisting the forces of evil or bringing My teaching into the world in this way.

My kingdom is a kingdom within.

Many people in this time ask themselves, “What will happen next?” Many lose courage in the face of catastrophes, threats, and wars. Again and again the desire is voiced to be able, or obliged, to act against them. What is not understood is that the solution—namely, to bring the forces of darkness to turn back—can consist only in making the kingdom within ever more powerful. The inner realm can only be a kingdom to which more and more people belong who do not make the claim that they want to change existing conditions through outward measures—for example politics, influence, or manipulation—but who know the spiritual laws: that change can take place only within; that this is the only possibility for “infiltrating” from within the outward kingdoms built and ruled by the forces of darkness and thereby transforming them.

In thought I take you back 2,000 years. Many of the messengers of light who are now on the way for Me were near Me then as well, and some among you sense that you were with Me, that you walked with Me, and that you loved Me.

What did I do then, I, a simple son of a carpenter, poor in outward things? I carried within Me love for God, our heavenly Father. I had recognized this love within Me, I had surrendered to this love, I had said yes to that for which I had set out, and then I put this love into action.

When I then went out publicly and traveled through the land for three years, preaching and giving the word of God, people sensed that there was a power within Me that could create peace, that could give courage, a power to which one could entrust oneself and to which one wanted to be close.

It was an inner recognition that the power of love was at work here.

In this way I addressed My followers: by looking at them, entering into their souls, touching them with the love of God. And they recognized who I am and who they are.

This awakened in them the desire to be near Me, to go with Me, to hear the teachings, put them into practice, and be able to heal as I did. We were like brothers and

sisters, and it was something wonderful to have My own around Me, to feel their surrender and their love. For them it was a new experience to have found the Source of their life.

They kindled the fire of love within themselves; they were full of enthusiasm and courage. Naturally, they too—like everyone who follows Me—had struggles within themselves. I taught them, I comforted them, I showed them what was still within them that needed to be looked at and transformed with the power of love. With every step they took they became freer. Their gaze, like Mine, became full of love, compassion, and understanding. They were not only ready, through their example, to help the people around them change; they changed them—every single one who allowed himself to be changed.

Certainly not everyone who heard Me could be reached, despite the love I radiated toward them. Many did not recognize that the way of peace was the only solution to the political problem of that time and still is today. They wanted to build an outward solution, a strong kingdom. These people could not understand Me. They turned away from Me, laughed at Me and mocked Me, and called Me a fool. Then they tried it their own way until they had to recognize that they had failed.

But those whose hearts I could touch recognized themselves as members of God’s Inner Kingdom. Their concern was not to establish an outwardly powerful and influential structure. That would have carried the danger that what was human in them would flow into their mission. The commission I gave them, and which they freely accepted, was in essence: “Open up the love within you and thereby become a member of the Inner Church, of the Inner Kingdom; and you will attract those whom I have prepared within.”

In this way, at least in the beginning, the Inner Kingdom of God arose and grew on this earth. Countless people followed My commandments without making much outward display of it. Yet very soon the forces of darkness took possession of those whom they could influence because of their human weaknesses. The foundation stone for an outward “kingdom of God” had been laid.

The kingdom within has endured through all the centuries; it could never be eradicated and never will be, even though it often could not work publicly. Again and again I, and messengers from heaven, successfully undertook to bring this Inner Kingdom on earth into bloom once more, so that it could spread through the thinking, speaking, and acting of people who lived in My Spirit, regardless of the culture or race to which they belonged.

In this, your time, heaven is making increased efforts to let this Inner Kingdom grow again. When you look at the world, you do not necessarily believe in the growth of an inner, invisible kingdom, because you allow yourselves to be deceived by outward circumstances and because your eyes cannot yet look more deeply. But I tell you: this Inner Kingdom already has infinitely many members who often do not even know that they belong to it, but simply live what has blossomed within them.

If you want to know who belongs to it, look into one another’s eyes, and then in every sincere embrace you will sense: I have met a brother or a sister who has a desire similar or equal to mine—to live love in this world.

Even today the commission is still the same as 2,000 years ago: first prepare your inner life, and then leave what happens afterward to Me. Do not direct your gaze toward outward results. For you personally it makes no difference whether only a few, or hundreds or thousands, listen to you, just as in My sermons then—as I have already told you—many were present who later went away shaking their heads.

Those who belong to the Inner Kingdom gave a promise in heaven. They know that I guide them. And they begin with themselves by looking at their past and, with My help, transforming what needs to be transformed. In every helping hand, in every encounter, they recognize My love, and they trust completely that people will be guided to them, or they to the people, who at the right moment are waiting to receive the right word, the right gesture from the heart.

Thus My kingdom within grows without at first being noticed outwardly, except that its fruits are recognized. In this way My Inner Kingdom—and you and all who feel that you belong to it—are protected by Me, as though beneath an invisible dome.

My disciples, men and women, who were around Me then experienced love and peace and, once they had internalized these, made them their own way as well.

Now you may say, “Lord, if I had been there then, if I had seen You and looked into Your eyes, I would have been just as enthusiastic.” And I answer you: “Are you sure that you did not look into My eyes then? And if it truly was so that you were not there: what prevents you today from wanting to live in the same closeness to Me?”

I am within you, I flood you with My love, I call you, and I draw you to My heart. We cannot be any closer to one another, My friend. If you allow it, I will kindle within you the same flame I was able to kindle then in those who walked with Me. And you will do the same as then: be light in a dark world and time, and thereby be part of the eternal kingdom within and of peace. Amen.
