The thousands upon thousands
of words from our mouths
seep away into the nothingness
and meaninglessness of their seeming life,
and in the end we will die of thirst
in the deserts of our souls.
Only the one word,
with which we recognize God as our Beloved
in our hearts,
greet Him and embrace Him,
comforts and refreshes us
with the water
of eternal life.
