Jesus Christ: “I know your misery, your suffering, your sorrow, your despair. I know the struggles you wage in your innermost being. I also know your weaknesses, your cowardice, your failures, your fears. I know how you feel now. But even when things are going badly for you and you feel death nearer than life: come to Me and pour out your heart before Me. I want to comfort and strengthen you with My love!
Even if you fail again and again and fulfill your duties inadequately, if you are unable to accomplish the good you intended to do, and if you fall back into old patterns of behavior and ways of thinking however often, I ask you: turn anew to My love today and love Me as you are!
I want the love of your heart as it is; for if you wait until your misery has been resolved, until someday you are perfect, before turning to love, you will never experience My love in all its fullness, but will only be able to perceive it scantily within you.
My child, let Me love you as you are, and give Me your love as it is now. Surely My love will transform you in time, and what has burdened your soul until now will fall away. Before long you will be a new person, radiant with incomprehensible love. But today I love you as you are, and I desire that you too love Me as you are. It is important to Me that you turn to Me now, when you feel powerless and desperate!
I also love your weaknesses in you; I love the love of the poor and the wretched. I long for a new love to mature in all those who are desperate, who feel weak and powerless: a heart that gives itself ever more fully and gives itself away for love—a consciousness of the heart that begins to expand without limit in warmhearted understanding.
I long for your love even if at this moment it seems extinguished to you. I long for your love to kindle anew and shine in the depths of your heart. I do not need your wisdom, nor your talents or abilities.
Only one thing is important to Me: that you be wholly present in love, and that your actions be shaped by love alone.
Nor are your virtues what I desire. For if I gave you such things, you would be in danger that they would only feed your pride, arrogance, or self-love. Therefore do not concern yourself with them. And perhaps I must even take away the little you possess so that you recognize that in life only this one selfless love matters.
Today I stand at the door of your heart like a beggar—I, the King of kings! I knock and wait. Hurry to open to Me! Do not appeal to your misery, your dejection, sorrow, fear, or despair. What would sadden My heart would be to see you doubt My love and fail to trust Me.
My child, I long for you to do even the most insignificant action out of love. Give yourself, and Me as well, this incomparable joy! Therefore do not concern yourself with your inadequacies, with your feelings of incapacity, abandonment, or sorrow. Leave everything to Me and give Me your heart anew today.
If your situation in life requires it, I will give you My abilities and talents and will give you everything you need. If you suffer, I will comfort and strengthen you. Trust in Me! Through My love I will kindle the still faintly glowing love of your heart so greatly that you will know how to love far more than you can dream.
Remember these words and love Me now as you are!”
