Dear brother, dear sister, just as in His incarnation long ago, Jesus Christ has once again formed communities and flocks in whose midst He dwells, speaking to His children as the present God, blessing them, giving them words of hope, encouragement, and confidence, drawing them to and into His heart, and showing them what a loving and caring Father He is, a Father who wants to protect His children and make them happy for eternity. This book contains a collection of such messages as well as further revelations from the Spirit of God.
But in this writing you will also find very serious words from our heavenly Father, showing the urgency and necessity of His children turning to Him in this time of distress and tribulation—and He also shows us the result of lukewarmness and lack of earnestness on the spiritual path, namely the possible failure to attain our destiny in freedom, which is true childship of God.
And the judging justice of the Godhead speaks to materialists, convinced atheists and godless egoists, to the deluded and evildoers of this earthly world, in order to show them unmistakably and unsparingly the outcome of their blind and destructive conduct and actions.
First, however, a necessary explanation of the following words of Jesus is required, for words like these and similar ones occur in this book and must be understood correctly; otherwise one forms an image of a cruel and merciless God in which true knowledge of Him and love for Him have no place:
“… but let man fear God and His wrath, which, according to His eternally unchangeable order, can cast the soul into darkness, hell, or eternal death!”
What do these divine statements mean? Does the God of love judge and punish, condemn people to hell, cast them into utter darkness?
What is meant is that people who live in sin—who are, in truth, lifeless—are subject to the universal law of necessity of the Godhead. This lawful order is established in such a way that when creatures transgress it, a time-bound judgment in this world or in the beyond follows: the deluded or evil person remains in the spiritual death he himself has caused, that is, in the darkness he himself has created—his distorted willing and acting—until he changes his disposition toward the good.
This, then, is God’s punishment and rejection: the human being steps of his own accord outside the order established by God and thereby judges himself, preparing his own hell through his obsession with matter, his pride, his godlessness, and his lack of love. There is no punishment other than self-condemnation.
It is entirely different when a person entrusts and surrenders himself to the heavenly Father. Through steadfast surrender, the spirit of God’s love can unfold within his soul, enabling the person to step out from under the law and be led gradually into the redeeming mercy and love of God the Father. Then the lost creature becomes a found child of God, enters into the spirit of the love of Jesus Christ, and is reborn in it. From then on he lives in free divine will as a child of almighty God for eternity.
That is our goal; it is the goal of every human being. May our heavenly Father touch and awaken many more people on Earth, so that they too may be filled with the light of the love of Jesus Christ and find in it the happiness of eternal life.
