Chapter 62 of 161

Español Deutsch
GEJ 1.62.1

The merchant now says no more, thanks the Father with Me, and then sits down at a large table standing in the middle of the hall. I and all My disciples, Jonael with his wife and daughters, Irhael with her husband Joram, and in their midst Mary, the mother of My body, then also sit down at the same table.

GEJ 1.62.2

This delights the merchant exceedingly, so that he says, ‘Lord, because You have honored me by sitting at this table where I have taken my place, from now on I will give the poor a tenth of everything my estates yield, and pay all the taxes they owe the Romans for a full ten years in advance! But after that time I hope to God, Your Father and ours, that through You, O Lord, He will free us from this plague. Outside I already faithfully and truly offered You my whole self and everything I have to help most actively with this.

GEJ 1.62.3

‘O Lord, only free us from this plague, and may the Jews of Jerusalem enter into fellowship with us again; for they have departed immeasurably far from the ancient truth. Nothing rules among them but selfishness, a craving for domination, and splendor; they no longer remember God, and there is no trace of love of neighbor! They despise Gerizim, but have turned Jehovah’s temple in Jerusalem into a money changers’ and traders’ stall! And if one tells them they are evildoers in God’s sanctuary, they curse and damn whoever dares call them by their right name. Lord, this must change; it cannot remain so! And if it does remain so, then another flood is soon to be feared! All around, throughout the world, there are heathens upon heathens, and in Jerusalem and Judea live Jews, priests, Levites, scribes, Pharisees, money changers and traders who are all ten times worse than all the heathens! In short, the world is now far worse than in Noah’s time. If no remedy comes and the Messiah does not take a flaming sword in hand, then most clearly we shall come to building another ark! Lord, do whatever lies within Your power! I will help You at all times!’

GEJ 1.62.4

I then say, ‘Dear Jairuth, look at My young men! I tell you: I have so many of them that they would find no room on a thousand times a thousand earths, and one alone would be quite enough to destroy the whole Roman Empire in three moments. But although you are better in faith than the Jews, you nevertheless share with them a completely false conception of the Messiah and His kingdom.

GEJ 1.62.5

‘The Messiah will indeed found a new kingdom on this earth; but mark this well: no material kingdom under crown and scepter, but a kingdom of the spirit, of truth, of right freedom arising from truth, under the sole rule of love!

GEJ 1.62.6

‘But the world will be called to enter this kingdom. If it follows the call, eternal life will be its reward; but if it does not follow the call, it will indeed remain as it is, yet in the end it will receive eternal death.

GEJ 1.62.7

‘The Messiah, now as a Son of Man, has not come to judge this world, but only to call all who now walk in the darkness of death into the kingdom of love, light and truth!

GEJ 1.62.8

‘He did not come into this world to win back for you what your fathers and kings lost to the heathens, but only to bring back to you what Adam lost for all human beings who have ever lived on this earth and who will ever yet live on it!

GEJ 1.62.9

‘Until now, no soul that left the body has yet been taken away from the earth; countless souls, beginning with Adam down to this hour, still all languish in the night of the earth. But only from now on will they become free; and when I ascend on high, I shall open for all the way from the earth into the heavens, and they will all enter into eternal life along this way!

GEJ 1.62.10

‘Look, that is the work the Messiah is to accomplish, and nothing else! And you need not summon your warriors from the farther reaches of Asia, since I shall never need them. But I shall need many spiritual workers for My kingdom, and I shall prepare them Myself. Some of them are already sitting here at this table; but more will yet be prepared for it in all love and truth.

GEJ 1.62.11

‘Look, to accomplish this is My task! But now judge, and then tell Me how such a Messiah pleases you!’

GEJ 1.62.12

The merchant Jairuth says, ‘Lord, I must think deeply about this! For no human being had ever heard anything of a Messiah of this kind. But I think that in this way the Messiah will be of little use to the world! For as long as the world is left as it is, it will always be a most bitter enemy of everything that belongs to the spirit. But now I will think further.’
