Chapter 82 of 161

GEJ 1.82.1

John 4:43. But after two days He departed from there to Galilee.

I say, ‘I shall indeed come to you once more in secret. But then the whole place is not to be informed of My presence, since ever more people will settle here because of the heavy tax oppression in Judea and Galilee, for this land is the least oppressed, and My Jairuth pays nearly all the taxes for the poor.’

GEJ 1.82.2

For He Himself, Jesus, testified that a prophet counts for nothing at home.

‘But where there are many local people, a prophet has little value unless he is an old man. Only what an old man says do the fools take for God’s word, while they take a young man’s wisdom to be only a play of heated imagination, supposedly mixed at times with some reason. And as for miraculous signs, however extraordinary they may be, they are nevertheless all assigned to the domain of magic, which is unfortunately very common at this time. But people are now blind enough, cannot distinguish falsehood from truth, and therefore reject everything indiscriminately.

GEJ 1.82.3

‘It is therefore better for a prophet to journey abroad; for where he is not known, he still accomplishes the most among people. And for that reason My disciples and I shall now leave you, but, as I promised you, visit you again soon.

GEJ 1.82.4

‘But I am taking with Me from here a man named Matthew, who was employed here as a toll collector, because of his quick and good handwriting, so that he may record My teachings and deeds. Give him a travel permit for the world’s sake!’

GEJ 1.82.5

The colonel does so immediately and thanks Me for everything from all the depth of his heart. All the other guests, stirred by the colonel’s example, do the same. But several, a little more tired from the day’s journey, have fallen asleep at the tables and benches. Those awake want to wake them, but I say, ‘Let them rest until daybreak! I would rather leave now, at midnight, in complete quiet, so that the departure causes no stir. You too, all remain here until daybreak, and let no one accompany either Me or those who go with Me, except in your hearts.

GEJ 1.82.6

‘But you, My Jonael, see that My teaching takes root here and then bears many good fruits as a new tree of life. I also give you, through My name, a power from the heavens beyond the senses. Yet do not let your zeal carry you into using it at the wrong time and therefore unwisely, for then you would do more harm than good with it! I shall give you an angel in your house for a time; from him you shall learn the wise use of heavenly power. But tell no stranger that an angel from the heavens dwells in Jonael’s house.’

GEJ 1.82.7

Here Irhael and Joram come to Me weeping, and neither can speak for love and gratitude. But I bless them and say, ‘Be comforted! I shall come to you again soon!’

GEJ 1.82.8

But both embrace My feet and wet them with their tears, and Joram cries, ‘O holy time, hasten and bring the Lord of glory to us forever in His house! O Lord, remember us who love You from the fullness of our hearts, and come and then remain with us evermore!’

GEJ 1.82.9

I say, ‘Yes, I shall come again, but, as I said, only entirely in secret; for henceforth no one must be compelled by My presence to believe in My mission from above, and thereby in My word.’
