Dear brothers and sisters,

every word from God’s mouth in the human heart must traverse the soul-landscape of the particular person. This soul-spiritual landscape colors the divine revelation and gives it a more or less humanly shaped form and expressive force. This is the case with all bearers of the Father’s word.

If a revealing soul is still partly caught in human thinking, it can at times appear that the words do not come from the Father but are a product of the human being. This happens, yet as a rule the basis or occasion for revealing God’s word is always God Himself, who speaks Himself forth in the heart of the soul.

There are few souls who were prepared for this earthly life, and continue to be prepared during it, in such a way that they reveal Jesus’ words purely; only their use of language wraps the word of God, while the meaning remains preserved (for example Jakob Lorber). All other revealers wrap or soak God’s word with their soul-conditioning and structure. Thus with one and the same child of God, alongside pure messages, distortions/falsifications can occur. Yet the core of the statements always remains preserved, therefore untouched.

Of course there are also deliberate falsifications (lie-truth-lie), or a false statement by a prophet becomes the central statement and the ‘followers’ go astray into fanaticism, which always arises and propagates itself when a lie is defended with all manner of specious arguments.

Now it is the case that the more deeply a child of God has penetrated into Jesus’ heart, the nearer he finds himself to the core statement and thus always filters the truth-content out of every message, or recognizes the essential divine element in all messages. For him, therefore, everything is pure. He can read and see everything and recognizes in everything the divine ground and plan. He recognizes truth in falsehood; the divine light of his heart permeates and illuminates the darkness.

For us children of God and those who wish to become so, it is important always to read and listen with the heart in order to recognize whether the message agrees with Jesus’ two commandments, whether God’s selfless love carries the revelation. Every human being can do this even if he is still at the beginning of the path.

A child of esotericism too can send a good message as a channeling medium. As children of God we stand in the light of truth, can distinguish and sort out what helps us onward or leads us away from the right path. The Father also gives us a certain measure of self-responsibility, for we are to learn to stand on our own spiritual feet.

Why does the Father permit different spiritual messages? Are they all Antichrists and false prophets? Certainly not. They are different approaches for all kinds of spiritual conditions of soul. Many messages are usually well meant, yet divine inspirations mingle with personal views and spirituality picked up from reading—just as the listeners and readers find themselves in the corresponding current. Like to like; the end sanctifies the means. We know that danger lies in such messages. Our incarnation in this world of appearance and deception also held and still holds great danger, yet here too the end, childhood of God, sanctifies the means, Earth.

We cannot measure the grace in which we stand here. We know both earthly and divine truth. Yes, we know the higher truth, Jesus Christ, which unites us in these times of transformation and renewal. The lower-order truth about the actual conditions of this earthly world in all their facets and ramifications can confuse and divide us because of different perspectives arising from divergent states of soul. Therefore we should always look to Jesus; He is truth in its entire fullness of love, He is the ground that gathers truth and unites all within Himself. With Him and in Him we may see the greater whole, may walk at His hand, may look into His heart; there we are called and appointed to serve Him. Only a few people are given this.

A great danger for mediums of the Father’s word arises when the Father once withdraws and, for wisdom-filled reasons, no longer lets messages come to the child. Then the child of God is tempted to continue supplying the brothers and sisters gathered around him with messages in order to live up to expectations or meet demands. He does not want to accept that the activity is supposed to be over and, in hidden pride, fails to recognize the divine test into which the heavenly Father has placed him—and then reveals from his own soul.

This has happened with quite a number of small and great prophets of the preceding century who still have many followers who believe the messages without exception, while in these cases the messenger usually stood and still stands in the foreground rather than Jesus Christ. Usually even correction in Jesus’ name through a child sent by Him does not help, for abandoning a misguided view would pull the spiritual ground out from under many who fasten their faith to a false message, or at least cause great uncertainty. Yet precisely this would be the key to becoming free from the strong-willed personality and sphere of a prophet or prophetess gone astray through self-overestimation or self-deception.

It is different with withdrawn recipients of the word who write in a quiet little room without knowing whether the messages will ever reach the public. This was the case with Jakob Lorber, which is why the word through him was and is throughout of divine origin. Poverty and need kept him in humility and obedience to God. His sphere is pure humility and surrender to Jesus Christ; he is a true brother in the Lord.

Therefore every child of God should examine himself, for at all times we are exposed to the dangers of spiritual pride. Better once to withdraw for a longer period and contemplate oneself in God’s presence to see whether one still stands in truth than to slide in conceit into the fallen soul-nature and bear false witness to people, even if it is well meant.
