Once I saw

Once I saw
God’s love and knew
that He would never leave me.
And I also saw
His wisdom and knew
that for my sake
He must leave me from time to time.
At heart, however,
we are never
separated from Him,
for the human soul is God’s soul
and the human spirit is God’s spirit.
