Truly, I Tell You: Rejoice!

Rejoice, My beloved! And once again: Rejoice! I tell you this as your brother Jesus Christ, who is the love within the Father. I also call this out to all the souls who have come with Me and have gathered here in an immense multitude. This “Rejoice” applies to you as well; it applies to everyone, whether on this side or in the beyond. For all of you are wanderers with one and the same goal: to find your way back to the heart of your heavenly Father.

When I say “Rejoice,” many among you will not quite be able to understand why they should rejoice in this difficult time. Why should they feel joy when they look at the world and at their lives and see the difficulties with which they constantly have to contend; when they look at suffering and think of the worries that may have accompanied them for many years already. “How can joy arise in all this?” ask quite a few who hear and read My word.

My statement will meet with incomprehension especially among those whose gaze is directed exclusively toward their material existence; who have a false image of God or none at all; who do not include Me in their daily lives; who are tossed back and forth by the storm of their fate. They feel lost and can make little sense of My word that they should rejoice.

Those, however, who have taken the first steps on their spiritual path have recognized themselves as children of the Most High. They know of their eternal life. They know about the only temporary excursion they are making into matter in order to learn. They know that there is no death. And they have recognized that this period of time serves to purify their soul and thus to perfect it step by step. Whether you can therefore immediately follow My words of joy depends on whether you feel yourselves to be children of God or exclusively creatures of this world.

For better understanding, I want to give you an image.

Each of you carries longings within to see, visit, experience, or receive this or that. Now imagine that someone steps before you who is ready to fulfill your desire. He places a free pass in your hand. This free pass—if you not only accept it but also use it—will bring you to the destination of your wishes.

You recognize Me and yourselves in this image; for I am the One who promises to bring you back to where your greatest longing draws you: back to the Father’s house. I will succeed in this without exception because the memory of your eternal home and the desire to return are firmly anchored in everyone; and through this anchor I reach you sooner or later.

On the road that leads you back, I am your companion. Your free pass is My promise that you will find your way safely home again. It is like a guarantee card of inestimable value. Your way home may still extend over several or perhaps even many stations on earth, but the moment you are ready to take My hand, your return journey begins. And nothing and no one can permanently prevent you from taking this journey back! The forces of darkness do try to make it difficult for you by working with every means to draw you off the path. To this extent it is their right, because their free will has not been curtailed. But you too, My brothers and sisters, can use your free will to set your no against their enticements and temptations.

Where, then, does the subtlety of My adversary and yours lie? Return to the image I gave you. You accepted the guarantee card, you said yes, you set out on the way home. This does not mean that you will not be confronted with difficulties along your path; but just as dangerous—if not still more dangerous than the obstacles you encounter—are the side roads that appear interesting and have been laid out and offered by darkness. They are sophisticated traps, constructed with extreme complexity. And truly, I tell you, they are very difficult to recognize if you are not truly walking at My hand because you love Me.

All kinds of interesting things are made to glitter before you, things supposedly waiting for you on paths that seem easier to walk than the main road. Along the paths of the tempter everything glitters and shines; externals and distractions of every kind are offered to you, traditions, handed-down customs, rites, ceremonies, pseudo-religious things, and much more that is intended to tempt you into misunderstanding My simple teaching of love and thereby losing sight of it. In this way the emphasis is shifted from the inner to the outer. The gaze is directed toward colorful packaging that dazzles many so strongly that they no longer ask about the original, the true content.

You were promised noble wine, and then you were given sweetened water with a bitter aftertaste that is sensed only later—often much later!

The deeper you advance along the side roads, the less able you are to recognize the truth, which says: love—and nothing else! At some point the human being will then wonder why what began so lightly and buoyantly no longer continues so simply and without problems. His soul, however, has long since recognized the fetters he allowed to be placed upon him. And when he notices that his steps are becoming heavier, that things encounter him that have nothing to do with what was promised, then in his ignorance he accuses Me—Me, who want to guide him along the main road. He does not recognize that it was he himself who let go of My hand.

Then the human being is stuck in the thicket, in his own swamp. Everyone knows the consequences, for all of you have already strayed from the main road. The consequences are adversities and distress that arise in your daily life, not infrequently accompanied by a lack of energy because strength and motivation have been robbed from you; and not infrequently joylessness sets in, which can lead as far as depression. The human being who experiences this has become entangled in the snares of the brightly shimmering side roads.

A large part of humanity is in this situation—in a more or less pronounced form. I am the key to your freedom. I am the guide who brings you out of the swamp. I am the One who extends His hand to you. And now tell Me yourselves: Is this offer not truly a reason for joy?

Often it is fears that hold you at the place where you now stand because you took a wrong path. They are forces that want to bind you or have bound you and rob you of the confidence and trust that there is a way back.

Truly, I tell you: Everything that, in self-will and repeatedly, violates the law of love already carries within itself the seed of its downfall. This applies to everyone and everything in My entire creation. It applies to every person, every group, every ideology. Just as My law of love serves the one who serves the law, so too it allows effects to follow causes that have been set wherever action is taken against the law.

If you believe these words of Mine, then you also know that I am the only One who can free you if you have become entangled. It is relatively easy to come to the realization of when and how this happened. Turn around—figuratively speaking. Direct your gaze toward the path that led you into the thicket, and especially toward the point where you left the main road. Then you will know what seduced you, how it was able to happen, and what lay or still lies within you that made this possible.

And then, My beloved? If I can reach you through your longing because it has begun to blaze again within you—even if only as a small flame—then give Me your hand, for I am the One who can loosen your fetters. Then our return journey together begins.

I return to the image I gave you at the beginning. The joy of being able to reach a goal already begins with the preparations; it continues throughout the journey or the hike, and of course it culminates in arrival. But the entire time, beginning with your yes and extending to your homecoming into the Father’s house, is a time of joy! That is what My word expresses.

Joy already lies within you. Joy is part of heaven, and you are children of heaven. You know the saying: Whoever wants to enter heaven must carry heaven within. That means: The joy that may at this moment be somewhat buried must become visible again. I help you with this. Then it will express itself in your life. You will shine and, without many or grand words, change the people around you. After all, you have once again become My male and female disciples who have recognized themselves as sons and daughters of the heavens.

From the moment of realization onward, supported by the desire to return home—and no matter how deeply you may still be stuck in your swamp—the way home begins. At the same time, if you wish, joy begins to grow in your heart, for joy is meant to be the driving force of all your decisions and all that you do. It is not grim determination, fulfillment of duty, adherence to law, or misunderstood obedience that move you forward, but the joy that comes from the desire to love God and your neighbor.

This word applies equally to you souls, for the way to the Father’s house lies before you just as it does before your brothers and sisters in earthly garb. You too must make decisions, and if you reflect on what I have offered you today as brotherly help, those decisions will not be very difficult to make.

I am love and mercy, and whoever comes to Me and asks Me to be his guide on the journey to the Father’s house, I will take by the hand. If he not only accepts the free pass but also uses it, then he will become free of all attachments, of everything in which he has become involved.

It is good when you celebrate My birth. But I make you a suggestion: Celebrate your birth! For if you put into practice what I have laid upon your hearts, then for you it will be like a birth—a birth into the spiritual.

And therefore I call once more into your hearts: Rejoice, My beloved, rejoice!
