Longing Is the Key

Divine Revelation

My beloved sons and daughters, you know that no soul and no human being will be lost, for I have told you this again and again in numerous revelations. It is, so to speak, one of the focal points of My teachings because this fact is important for the readiness with which you walk the path to Me and with Me. If you do not merely hear it but internalize it, it gives you a great measure of calm and trust.

Many among you have asked in the past, and still ask, why I am so certain that everyone will find the way back to Me. And why you too may be certain that you will find your way back to your eternal home. After all, I gave everyone free will, in which I never intervene. It would therefore have to be possible — at least theoretically — for a soul to decide “for all eternity” to reject Me or even fight against Me.

But despite free will this cannot and will not happen, not even with those who, in the forefront both in the realms of souls and in matter, try everything to destroy parts of My creation and bind your souls to themselves for a long, long time. The impossibility of My children remaining estranged from Me permanently — forever — has a special reason.

Everything I created, I created in My image. This is not easy for you to understand; in its depth it is entirely beyond your grasp because it took and takes place in dimensions to which the human intellect has no access.

But this will be understandable to you: I desired creatures at My side with whom I could communicate, which presupposes that — except for one point — they were, so to speak and more or less, “on equal footing” with Me. This is difficult for you to imagine because you always see yourselves only as human beings with limited possibilities and abilities and have not the faintest idea what immense powers you possess as spiritual beings. You are creators on a small scale! Your present stage of development, as a soul incarnated in a human body, does not allow a deeper and more comprehensive view either. Hence My enlightening word.

When I say “except for one point,” I mean that I am the One, the Source, the Omnipresent, the Eternal, the One who always was and always will be, all-embracing love. Everything has come forth from Me, from this one central point of all that is. With this knowledge it will surely be understandable that I fulfilled My desire to preserve everything for all time. This includes bringing back those who left Me. And naturally it also applies to those who incarnated from the heavens to help their brothers and sisters on earth and in doing so may have become “entangled” and do not immediately find their way home again.

I placed My love into every creature, this life-sustaining spark of energy without which nothing can exist (1). This spark is indeed reduced through conduct directed against My law of love, but it can never be extinguished in anyone. It is one part of My “safeguard” that everyone carries within, helping ensure that no one is lost. But there is another part that, together with the spark, guarantees the return home:

It is the longing that I likewise planted in everyone, and which, just like the energy-spark, in the long term can be impaired by nothing and no one. Together the two ensure that My creation, still divided at present, will one day be united again.

I would like to speak with you about this longing. Naturally the opposing side knows about it too; it knows how dangerous it is — from its point of view — and does everything possible to prevent human beings and also the souls living in its realms from gaining access to this longing. But in the long term it will not succeed, for despite all its strength, influence, and subtlety, it has nothing to set against the possibilities I possess.

How do the forces of darkness proceed? Have you ever thought about this? Whoever does not know, even approximately, stands in a rather hopeless position. Added to this is the fact that the picture you have of the devil, of evil, of the tempter, or whatever name you may use, is so imprecise and distorted, even false, that he laughs up his sleeve when he is mentioned. The churches are not least to blame for this, for they present you with a picture of My adversary and yours that does not even remotely resemble what you are actually dealing with. His dangerousness — his danger for you — has therefore fallen almost to “zero,” insofar as it is sensed at all.

One of his methods consists in distracting you. He prefers this; and it comes so easily to him and brings him so much success because he has managed to stuff you full of all kinds of things. His offerings are so varied that you no longer manage even to look at them all or occupy yourselves with them more deeply. But what “sticks” with you is enough to push spiritual matters into the background. The many possibilities offered by your age with its technology suit him very well, especially since they were first brought about by him.

He has achieved what he intended: hardly any time remains for you to concern yourselves with your spiritual development. The day is packed with every possible event and news item, with work and entertainment. Is there still room to occupy yourselves with Me, with yourselves? With important questions of your life, of the development of your soul? With questions I place before you without interruption throughout the day, but which you do not recognize because you are “busy”? Even in the evening hours and often late into the night? And because for this reason you cannot deal with the answers? Or do not want to?

“Please do not dawdle on the path. Do not delay, for time is short. Use every moment to live love,” I told you through one of My instruments not long ago. Where can you dawdle?

In putting into practice the tasks that your day continually places before you!

Many of you will ask how and where. In doing so you all too easily forget what I have explained to you many times:

First and foremost it is your neighbor who points out to you — not infrequently twenty-four hours a day — where there is still something to learn. It is his conduct that bothers you, makes you restless, annoys you, or evokes opposition. Or that creates in you the almost irresistible desire that you absolutely must help him “according to your own ideas.”

In all these cases you could apply the law of correspondence to your conduct, which says: “What bothers, annoys me, and so on in my neighbor, I too carry within myself in the same or a similar way — still.” If you acknowledge this spiritual guideline, then, to put it casually, you have enough work for the coming time.

When I tell you that longing is the key I planted within you (2), this is not said lightly. I ask you to take My word very seriously. For applying it, even if at the beginning these are only more or less successful “exercises,” can be the key to moving you a great step forward from your present position — which you yourselves may describe as restrained. And specifically in the direction of an inner connection between Me and you, provided this is also your desire.

In the depths of your soul, longing for Me, for unity, for an intimate connection with eternal love has been planted. As human beings you could also say: “God placed it in my heart.” However you express it, it is part of you, and sooner or later it will “begin its work,” if it has not already done so.

This work consists in reminding you that you long for a loving connection with Me that endures. This is so because I created you that way. Your longing therefore does not have to arise anew “out of nothing”; it merely has to be “activated,” for it has been part of you for as long as you have existed as a spiritual being. You merely have to say “yes” to this desire to be more strongly connected with Me and your eternal home than in the past. And more than that: … to return home to your eternal home as soon as possible.

This can — to a limited degree — already happen during earthly life, depending on the seriousness with which you begin and continue this process; but it will certainly be your goal when you close your earthly eyes in order then to enter a world that you have created for yourself through your decisions and your efforts; a world full of light and love in which it becomes clear to you that you have the most difficult stretch of your journey home behind you.

Perhaps you now understand how important this part of My redemption and bringing home is. It cannot truly or permanently be influenced by the negative forces, however hard they try. Together with My spark of love, it is and remains the guarantee that I will embrace you again.

Your longing can and will help you decide for the journey home and begin it at My side, or walk it more intensely than in the past. In every case I will satisfy your longing if this is also your desire. For I love you and am waiting for you.

(1) Incidentally, this is the only logical explanation for why we need only close our eyes and turn inward in order to be with Him, our beloved Father. He lives within the human being, something no other spirit being can say of itself. There He can be found at any time without any delay, far more readily and quickly than in a “church building of stone,” where in any case we can find Him only within ourselves. The positive energies accumulated there over the decades and centuries may perhaps help us, but we find God exclusively within ourselves.

(2) Longing Is the Key That Lets You Find

You truly want to find, child? Then set out

and go seeking step by step along your way.

And you will find! For the trail I lay for you

leads you back to Me. You are still waiting? For what?

The search seems not easy, often full of toil and burden?

How will you find if you stand still in doubt?

If, instead of seeking Me, you follow your own paths

which you chose of your own free will?

I said that everyone who seeks Me will find Me.

So there can be no doubt that this will happen,

and that My heart draws to itself you and everyone

who loves and, full of longing, loses himself in Me.

Longing is the key that lets you find,

and I am the One within you who carries your effort.

I am the One who stirs strongly and comfortingly within you,

and when you begin to waver, I hold you fast.

You want to find Me, child? Then come and take the step,

let your longing flow freely and do not hesitate,

and so find your way back to yourself and Me — into the light.

And whatever happens, be certain: I go with you!
