From Learned Knowledge to Lived Wisdom

Divine Revelation

My beloved children, in this way I lead you into the inner reaches of your heart through the destinies of the people around you. Let yourselves be touched; allow love for your brothers and sisters to be awakened within you. For you have awakened; many of My children are awakening in this time and finding their task.

And why especially in this time? Because more and more people sense that something is missing. Yes, many have nothing at all to hold on to. And those who sense that something is missing often do not know that it is I whom they are missing in their lives. Therefore I want to touch these hearts through their neighbor so that they awaken.

My beloved, how do you intend to continue in this time, in which endless turbulence is taking place on your planet, if you do not dare to make the leap—the step to My heart, into My love?

Imagine this picture: Many of My children stand at an abyss. On the other side I am there; I spread out My arms to catch My children, to take them to My heart. But they themselves must dare to make the leap. And believe Me: No child who decides to jump is alone. And every one lands in My arms.

No child walks his path without his spiritual companions. My angels walk with everyone; My angels are beside you to guide you to Me, to accompany your leap, your step into My love.

And so I call you, My love calls you: Come home to My heart. I long so deeply for you, for each one. It is love itself that calls you.

Divine Revelation

I, your God and Father, who in Jesus Christ is also your Brother, have entered your midst. And your open hearts receive My light of love, which strengthens you and further kindles your longing.

With Me, as always, countless of your brothers and sisters from the realms of souls have come. Wherever I raise My word—and this happens throughout your earth on countless occasions—My own also gather in the invisible realm. For they sense that love wants to speak to them, to teach them and give them courage for the steps of development that lie ahead; and not a few of them afterward set out, together with their guardian angels and spiritual helpers, on the path that brings them closer to My Fatherly heart.

Even if I do not emphasize this every time, rely on the fact that your brothers and sisters from the realms of souls, but also from the luminous heights, are always with Me, so that together we may celebrate these holy hours.

There is only one single, eternal, and absolute truth—and this truth am I, love! This truth is My law, which operates throughout all creation and to which all events are subject. Wherever in your religions, ideologies, theories, worldviews, reflections, and discussions My love is not at the center and does not represent the goal most worthy of striving for, at most parts of My truth are present; in the worst case they have nothing to do with Me and My teaching of love, and there you find only untruth.

The highest form of love for one’s neighbor is love for one’s enemies! This I taught as Jesus of Nazareth, and this I lived before you. But it is not practiced with words; it is practiced through action. The fire I kindled, which spread over your earth, was carried onward by the men and women who allowed themselves to be seized by it and became examples. And therefore My “religion”—if you wish to call it that—lives by its function as an example. It is not a religion that can be spread through proselytizing in the form of beautiful words, perhaps even with pressure, threats, fear, or the means of violence. Wherever this has happened and happens, other forces have their hands in it.

I need examples who radiate their spiritual light both into their outer world and into the realms of souls.

I came to bring My human children back to the home they left. To use your words, I have “great patience,” because I know that I will not lose a single one of My creatures, but that all, sooner or later, will find their way back to Me. My law ensures this. And yet it is My desire that My beloved children turn back as soon as possible, because I would like to spare each one the suffering that enters life as a consequence of conduct contrary to law.

Countless possibilities are given to Me for addressing My own. They rest upon the following pillars, which come into play according to the child’s consciousness and which I use:

I reach everyone through the law of cause and effect,

but also through general enlightenment of many different kinds, such as can be found, for example, in books and writings.

People too—it need not always be your friends and acquaintances—can help you to pause and reflect.

And a receptive soul will hear My impulses within if it goes attentively through the day.

Furthermore, I address those who cannot yet hear Me personally within themselves indirectly through My word, which I give through your brothers and sisters, and in this way I reach them.

And when your love for Me, My child, grows and grows within you, then finally I will be the One who stirs within you and who from that moment takes over your guidance in a direct way.

You see, there are many paths, and all ultimately serve to move My child to bring about a change in his life. This change passes through three stages. The first stage is the acquisition of knowledge, the second is recognition, and the third is implementation, so that—with My help and under My guidance—a change ultimately comes about. And with this change, wisdom grows within My child.

Wisdom cannot be attained through the accumulation of knowledge. Recognition or understanding is of no use either if the subsequent action does not follow. The gathering of knowledge for its own sake is not without danger where your spiritual development is concerned. Knowledge presses toward realization. If this does not happen, then—figuratively speaking—it clogs the source of power within you that wants to help your inner development. The result is a consciousness that can no longer unfold and that, if it remains restricted for a long time, can no longer even recognize the correctness and lawfulness of these words of Mine.

I give you a simple but entirely comprehensible image so that you can increasingly give credence to My words; for I see in your hearts the difficulty of distinguishing knowledge from wisdom.

Many of you live in the mistaken belief that you can walk the path to Me by reading and hearing as much as possible, which then often culminates in fruitless exchanges of opinion and endless discussions and not infrequently strengthens the ego. They do not understand that what matters is change, and that the individual steps toward it are meant solely to serve the attainment of this one goal—namely the necessary change of direction in your life.

Here is My example: Take your alphabet. What use is it to memorize the letters and their order within the alphabet? In doing so you have merely acquired knowledge. No gain results from this. Recognition begins when you start putting individual letters together into words, whether written or spoken. But even that will be of no help with regard to your goal—the desired transformation of your character—unless implementation follows afterward; unless you begin to live what you have written or spoken. Only then will you experience the power of letters and words.

This is the foundation of wisdom. Its roots are not in the intellect but in testing and action, in your daily life, in your sincere endeavor, in close connection with Me.

I once told you that everything in My creation is evolution, and personal growth belongs to it as well. In an evolution not a single step of learning can be skipped, not even when it is sometimes painful because there is no other way. Nor can you artificially shorten the path merely to reach the goal more quickly. But you can make a serious effort not to linger too long at the individual stations of your life, at the respective rungs of your “Jacob’s ladder,” but to move forward briskly, so that in this way you mature inwardly more quickly from day to day, week to week, or month to month. Not a single one of My human children is exempt from this path, this process of maturation.

I support every growth by not only adding My power—which is the same as My love—but also creating the corresponding surroundings and the necessary opportunities for learning. Through My law of love, in which everyone lives, I regulate this in the measure that is good, that is, appropriate, for each person’s individual situation. It may proceed slowly or quickly; My wisdom and the willingness of My child determine the pace of development.

This is something many of you still do not know how to handle. They believe they must proselytize in My name by indiscriminately forcing knowledge upon their neighbor for which he is not yet mature—instead of working through their example.

Small children need different nourishment from adults, and likewise a person who has not yet recognized much needs different spiritual nourishment from one who has already been on the path for some time. Wisdom—if you have developed it—looks into the depths of your neighbor and recognizes exactly when silence is called for, or how small or large the next dose should be.

Very often, however, your seeing is not yet developed enough for you truly to recognize what your neighbor needs at that moment. And when he is then overwhelmed with knowledge that he does not even know how to place properly, much less is willing or able to put into practice, you are disappointed and ask yourselves: Why does the other person still behave this way, even though I have pointed out something decisive to him and he has therefore been informed about this or that? You apply your standard to your neighbor, but this is not My standard, for My standard neither evaluates nor condemns.

Does your neighbor not have, just as you yourself do, the right to be as he is, even to remain as he wishes? If this arises from time to time as a problem for you or you or you, I give you another thought to take with you, one that can lead you to self-knowledge if you wish: Why do I have such difficulty dealing with my neighbor’s behavior? Then, My son, My daughter, you are with yourself, and if you take an honest inventory—with Me, who helps you—you will move a step forward. And the freedom will grow within you to let your neighbor be as he is—if that is what he wants.

And with this I return to what I told you at the beginning: My religion is a religion of example! You, My child, are to work through your example. With this “dosage” you can never do anything wrong.

Whoever has developed wisdom does not pressure his neighbor. He does not argue, least of all about the right path, the path of love. Wisdom exercises no compulsion and certainly no violence of any kind. It is the opposite of fanaticism. If love means freedom, then the logic of the heart teaches you that the converse can only be: Fanaticism stands for a severely restricted consciousness, for self-will, know-it-all certainty, ruthlessness, and imposing one’s own ideas, if necessary even by violence.

In your time you experience this fanaticism in many forms. Its roots lie far in the past. Since everything rests upon the principle of sowing and reaping, the harvest is now coming to light whose seed was laid many centuries ago. In the end it was lack of love and an equally deadly fanaticism that are showing their effects today. Even if the periods of time between sowing and harvest seem infinitely long and therefore unrelated to you, they are nevertheless no more than the blink of an eye in eternity. And everything that has not yet been made good or atoned for will sooner or later be washed to the surface.

There is only one possibility for “defeating” every hatred, every aggression, and violence: through selfless, unconditional, forgiving love—love for one’s enemies, which I taught. Even if this exceeds your imagination, there is nevertheless no other way. My human children will walk it—sooner or later—and those who not only believe in Me but love Me will become conscious of their function as examples and will fulfill it.

Everything My human and soul children need in order to bring about a change within themselves—and thus, seen in the long term, in the world—already lies within them. It is the power of My love waiting to be released anew again and again through a yes. It is My help, available to everyone. It is My love that carries everyone, My light that brings everyone to shine. To be an example therefore also means putting into practice the yes you have given Me or will give Me, joined with surrender to Me.

When I now spread My hands in blessing over My children on this side and beyond, My energy of love flows from them in the form of countless rays. Every open heart receives this energy and takes courage; and in every open heart the flame of longing once more burns brightly, hurrying toward Me, for I am your Father and Creator, I am the love that meets you in Jesus Christ.
