He is here, He accompanies me,

He is here, He accompanies me,
and when I arrive
He is there and awaits me.
He looks forward to every
shared moment.
He is full of longing
for the abiding love of His children.
God’s heart beats
in eager anticipation of love,
like the heart of a mother
awaiting her child
who has been far away.
Like the most loving father,
embracing his son
returning home from war.
