Often after sin
divine love entered me.
Comfortingly it laid its balm
on my wounds
and faithfully gave me its heart.
Trustingly I let myself fall
time after time
into God’s mercy
and again and again
was cleansed by it.
Thus I began
to comprehend the incomprehensible.
