Divine Revelation
Let Me, My beloved children, say a few words to you before you come to Me with your prayer intentions.
All over the world, at this hour—but not only now—many people have come together to radiate light and love into this world because they know that your earth and everything that lives upon it urgently need light and love. Again and again I encourage My children to enter into stillness and come to Me, and in this way to make use of and nurture the intimate connection that exists between Me and My child.
Here too, as you are together now, I want to move you to come to Me with your great and small concerns, with your requests, with your thanks, with everything that lies on your heart. Do not underestimate the power of your prayer, nor the power of the stream of love that builds up during heartfelt prayer. I know that My children, when they look at the world, sometimes become discouraged and think: “Does it really accomplish anything to pray in this time, when everything is getting worse?” I tell you: Yes, especially in this time the world and your fellow human beings need light and love. And what else is a prayer spoken in the right spirit?
For this I want to give you an image that you have surely often seen in a nighttime photograph: your globe in space. In many places you see lights, concentrated mainly in the large cities. But there are also areas that are completely dark. Now consider and make it your firm conviction: When you pray for someone or for something, you send out light. I direct your beam of prayer—strengthened by My divine light—to where it is needed; and in that moment, at the place that was previously dark, a small but shining point appears.
Imagine that many, many people do the same as you. Rays of light and love that come from sincere hearts find one another through the law of spiritual attraction. They are gathered and directed—also with the participation of your guardian angels and spiritual helpers—and reach their destination with absolute certainty. With every prayer there are more points of light, and small lights become great ones; but on the other hand, every prayer that is not offered is also a missed opportunity to brighten dark areas.
Remember this as you now enter into stillness. In this way you contribute now, and whenever you direct your positive, constructive, loving thoughts toward your neighbor and toward events in your world, to making it a little brighter in many places on your earth. Amen.
Divine Revelation
I am truly among you, for you have invited Me. My light and My power fill this room, and you feel it.
I take our being together as an opportunity to lead you one step farther and deeper into a subject I have addressed more than once. It is of central importance, and therefore today—in addition to the necessary refreshing of truths already known and for a better understanding of the overall picture—I will add a practical aspect that makes it possible for everyone to recognize its importance and internalize how easily it can be applied.
When I left this earth two thousand years ago, I promised to send you My Spirit, who would lead you into further truths and wisdom. I have kept My word, for throughout the many centuries that have passed since then I have awakened servants, men and women, through whom I have spoken to My human children. At first there was enlightenment, admonition, encouragement, and the imparting of knowledge, for humanity knew hardly anything about its true life, its purpose, its goal—and today it knows little more. But the time has come when, beyond enlightenment and the imparting of knowledge, I take My children by the hand and show them very concretely and deliberately the steps they need for the maturing of their souls and the perfecting of their human nature. The time is ripe to lead humanity into what I call inner work, about which I have often spoken to you.
A spiritual human being knows where he comes from; he is clear about why he is spending this time on earth; he knows the destination of his journey. And a spiritual human being desires to come ever closer to his goal and thereby to use the many opportunities that the day offers him as lessons to learn.
When I speak of a spiritual human being, this applies figuratively to you as well, My beloved children in the garment of the soul, who are also present in great numbers. You have left human existence behind you, but the path to your eternal home, just as for those in the earthly garment, still lies before you. Your path merely looks somewhat different; its focal points are service and insight—naturally “under the roof” of acquiring an ever greater capacity for love. For My human children this is of course equally important; but their learning steps—which nowhere can be approached as effectively as in the “melting pot of earth” with its widely differing states of human consciousness—are characterized by self-knowledge, decision, and change.
A spiritual human being sees where he stands, and he senses where he is drawn; and he knows that in order to reach this goal he must move. He must strive for changes in his life that correspond to My desire and will, and that I support in many loving ways because I want to embrace My child again soon. Such a person therefore knows that he must not stand still.
Are you, My child, already far enough that the term “spiritual human being” applies to you? There is a simple way to test yourself: If what I have just named as the standard already applies to you—rejoice! If one thing or another is still missing, you are free to decide to “work for” what is still lacking, while I am the One who takes over by far the greater part of your work.
I want to clear up on this occasion a great error into which many of My sons and daughters fall when they believe that the great danger of the devil—where the term “devil” stands for all the forces of darkness that seek to prevent any development of the human soul—the great danger, then, lies in seducing people. Truly, I tell you: It is enough for him if they remain as they are! If they do not move, if they have no spiritual goal before their eyes and therefore do not strive toward it. If you wish, think wisely about these words.
The way to My Fatherly heart leads exclusively through love. Many of My human children know this, especially when they are part of religious communities in which there is talk of love for God, for one’s neighbor, and for oneself. What, for lack of insight and practice, they have not been told is how they are to walk this path of love; how they are to deal with difficulties and problems; how they are to move aside the stones that lie in their path.
And so the command to love God and one’s neighbor remains abstract. It often turns into its opposite and not infrequently leads to joylessness, negligence, inattentiveness, and the abandonment of effort, because the human being repeatedly stands before his own obstacles and does not know how to overcome them. You were not given the tool; perhaps it was shown to you, but the necessary instructions for its use were not included. You lack support and help that you can work with in daily life, so that you can also experience the necessary joy that arises from a task successfully mastered.
Thus many people resemble questioning, searching, and despairing ones who sit in darkness and ask for light—and then finally give up because they do not receive it—without realizing that electricity is flowing in the wires and they would merely need to find and operate the switch whose location, or even whose existence, they do not know.
Every change requires a greater or lesser amount of strength. The great majority do not know that I am the power within the human being—indeed, within everyone and everything that was and is created by Me—and that the human being need only make use of this power in order to initiate the necessary changes. The decision for this change and then undertaking it is what I call “inner work.” Inner work is the heart of the development of soul and human being on the way back to heaven. For a spiritual human being it stands at the center of his life. He will not avoid inner work; rather, he will be grateful to receive an instrument that enables him to move forward on his way to Me and at the same time makes his existence considerably easier even during his earthly life.
There are false ideas about what inner work consists of. Many people think that if they place their life, their will, into My will, I would take something away from them. They would have to do things for which inwardly they are not yet ready; they would have to give up something they still love and separate from friends who are dear to them.
My beloved sons and daughters, no idea could be more mistaken!
Inner work means that I help you overcome what prevents you from coming nearer to Me. Inner work means that you grow into freedom. It means harmony, happiness; above all it means a sense of safety and freedom from fear. Who, having spiritually awakened, would not long for this?
What takes place on the path of inner work is a transformation of the faults and weaknesses that you freely—I emphasize freely—give to Me because you have recognized that they do not belong to a son or daughter of God. Because it troubles you to fall again and again into the same shortcomings and habits that, deep down, you do not want, that may burden you and make your life difficult. To dissolve this with My help, to free yourselves from it—that means inner work!
And if you, and you, and you are a spiritual human being or are on the way toward becoming one because that is your desire, then you will rejoice at the announcement that I am not only with you, at your side, but that I am the power within you that helps you beyond measure in your effort.
I live within you! Without My life-energy and energy of love, which flow to you without interruption, you would not exist! So immediately am I your life, whether you know Me or not, whether you believe in Me or not, whether you love Me, reject Me, or fight against Me! I deliberately repeat Myself: Without the sustaining stream of My life-force you would not exist! For there is no life outside Me. There is no life that is not nourished from Me, the one eternal Source!
This truth can shake the structure of belief and worldview you have held until now. In any case it turns much or everything upside down that has been said, taught, or even prescribed as belief about Me until now. If you wish, build a new image of Me and of yourself: the knowledge of an eternal, indestructible relationship filled with the deepest familiarity and infinite love! If you are ready for this, then—if it has not already happened—your true life begins, an adventure without equal!
Energy is always needed when something is to be moved. But the motivation for why you want to change something determines the quality of the energy.
If you want to change something out of self-interest, if you act out of fear, want to avoid difficulties, or want to inflate your ego, and much else besides, then only your own energy is available to you for this, possibly enriched by outside energies from your fellow human beings or by borrowed energy from false “friends” who influence you from the invisible realm, from worlds beyond. I do not support such conduct. Nor is divine energy available for outward things by which people try to impress Me: cultic acts, rites, self-mortification, fanaticism, sacrifices, and the like, nor for esoteric practices of various kinds. If someone wants to sacrifice something to Me, let it be—in recognition of wrong conduct—the laying of human imperfections and shadow sides upon the inner altar of the soul. Then the key fits the lock that opens to an increased flow of energy of love.
But if you want to lay aside something that you have recognized, for example, as a weakness of character, and you come with it—in and out of love—to Me, then there is, so to speak, an energy mix: your own energy is your decision, your effort, your earnestness, and your discipline, but My share in this mix is substantially greater. It is what I again and again describe as the hundred or thousand steps I come toward you when you take only one step toward Me. I therefore provide the greater part of the required energy. It acts within your soul, dissolves burdens there or weakens them, finally transforms them, and fills your inner being with new strength. In this way the particles of your soul grow lighter, which also becomes visible in the human aura and in the person’s form and expression; and more and more blockages, both inwardly and outwardly, are broken down.
What does such a step look like in practice, if you want to take it? Everything that does not yet correspond to a child of God, that you no longer want to have about you or carry within you and will no longer carry when you enter the perfection of heaven, is in need of change—out of love for Me, for your neighbor, and for yourself. These are great and small weaknesses, serious faults, but also trivial things. What is decisive is whether you recognize yourself, indeed whether you have the desire at all to want to know yourself—step by step, because in any case it cannot happen otherwise—and whether, from this insight, you make the decision to leave this or that behind and come to Me inwardly with this request. If you want to speak with Me, you can use words such as these—approximately, but really only approximately, because what matters is your motivation, your inner feeling, and not prefabricated sentences: “Father, I have recognized something in and about myself. It does not correspond to my desire for how I want to be, and it does not correspond to my true nature either. It does not correspond to Your commandment of love. Please help me overcome it so that I can leave it behind completely. And if necessary, show me the roots of my behavior so that I can begin there as well.”
In this way you release within yourself the energy about which people know nothing. In this way you make use of the instrument, My power, within you; and in this way you take an important, a great step and enter the next rung of your ladder that leads to My heart. Depending on the size and seriousness of your problem, it is probably not immediately out of the world, but you have found a new basis. You can actually feel in your inner feelings, in your thoughts, in your state of mind, how something has changed within you. Figuratively speaking, you once again get solid ground beneath your feet; and this ground, which is then no longer so unsteady, forms the basis for your next step. It may be that several or even many steps are required to bring about a substantial change. But at every step I am at your side. With every step your heart becomes lighter, you breathe more freely, you see more freely, you walk more upright, you begin to shine.
I want to give you an image: Take a dark room; in the middle hangs a lamp that gives only a weak light. With its light it cannot illuminate the corners of the room; but My light can. Every successfully completed step in your inner work causes your lamp to shine more brightly; its light spreads farther. And what happens? The darkness withdraws. It must retreat, and eventually, My child, you reach the point at which you illuminate the room with your light because you made a decision; and because I added My share—was able to add it because through your free will you made it possible for Me—so that you could put your decision into action.
Is that not a wonderful prospect? Is it not far more than merely admonishing or encouraging? This is something tangible that, if you wish, brings you a little closer to Me each day. And if you ask, “Lord, what should I change?” or if you request, “Show me the points I should address,” then I answer you with a smile: “My child, there is no request I would rather fulfill.” I can and will then give you impulses and pointers through what happens to you in your daily life. [Guidance on how one can attain self-knowledge can be found in the various revelations published on our website.] But your decision to change must be voluntary; it must be based on the realization that something went wrong in this or that situation. Therefore pay attention to your inner feelings; they mirror your inner being. Pay attention to your reactions, which express themselves in your thoughts, words, and deeds.
I am not the One who refuses you your mirror! If you have not progressed until now as you would wish, could it not also be that you have not really looked into your day and thereby failed to notice many impulses that it constantly offered you? Could it be that although you see the necessity and also have the desire to become freer, happier, and healthier, you shy away from the sometimes unavoidable work of self-knowledge—perhaps even a fundamental inventory of your inner life?
Inner work means—and here I clear up another misunderstanding—working on one’s own, self-recognized faults. It does not mean that I simply make a situation that burdens or annoys you disappear. It is always, My child, about your own share, whether large or small. I help you overcome this, your share, and that will have effects on your surroundings. For this I came into the world; for this I placed My power within you; and My greatest desire is to help you in your effort.
There is one decisive point that determines the success or failure of your effort: It is the question whether you acknowledge inner work for yourself and your life, whether you acknowledge its necessity for your way back to My heart!
If you do, because you are a spiritual human being or want to become one, and your longing is great and your love reaches toward heaven, then surely the only question can really be: “When will we begin the work together?” I am waiting to be able to pour My power of love over you in even greater measure than before.
These will be the fruits of your inner work that await you: a trust that cannot be shaken, a sovereign way of dealing even with fellow human beings and situations that are not so easy, an irrepressible longing—which nevertheless keeps you grounded, for you are still in the world and are needed there—a life with Me that is not limited to a morning or evening prayer or attendance at Sunday worship, and, as I have often told you, your freedom. Freedom from yourself, from your compulsions and habits, fetters and dependencies, petty-mindedness and pressures that you have imposed upon yourself in the course of one life or several.
Use, My child, this instrument—My gift to you. Feel how your life changes; feel how I stir within you; feel My impulses, and perhaps you will soon also feel the first impulses of My word to you. For since I live within you, I will not want to refrain from communicating with you. Do not use the key that I place in your hand through My revelation only once. Make it a habit to come to Me—as often as you desire, and as often as it is necessary. Do you believe Me when I tell you that it is more necessary than it appears at first glance? For every one of My children has his “construction sites.” To put them in order together with My child is My intention, My desire, and My will.
I am waiting for you. I bless My creation, I bless you souls in the beyond and all those who hear and read My word. And in a special measure My blessing—which is the same as My power and My love—flows to those who decide anew to walk the path with Me. Love envelops you—eternal, selfless, serving, tender Fatherly love, which is at the same time also motherly love. Amen.
Divine Revelation
I am the good God about whom your brother, in the face of the violent end of his earthly existence, still had the strength to write [this referred to the contents of a letter that a young priest wrote to his sister shortly before he was executed in 1944 because of his convictions]. He knew that it was his destiny that his inner, spiritual being—his soul—would have to leave the body. But he also knew the goal toward which he was striving and that I am the One who would take him into My arms upon his arrival, comfort him, and lead him into the bliss destined for him.
Therefore remember: Your body is taken from the coarse substance of the transience of this earth; but you, in your deepest, innermost, true being, are like radiant suns in the firmament of My divine, purely spiritual creation, which is your home.
So awaken and strive to bring forth this radiance of the eternal, unconditional love that I—life—am within you. Be blessed once more, and let My power, My peace, and My love be your companions. Amen.
