Divine Revelation
My beloved sons and daughters, your scientists have discovered the laws of nature, at least some of them, and your politicians have created laws that regulate living together and by which peoples are governed. Laws, one might say, are omnipresent in your daily life; indeed, they determine your everyday life. Most people also regard them as necessary because no community can function without rules and regulations.
What is it like in My creation? Does My order not operate within it as well?
Very few people have given thought to the fact that in what I have created there are also laws—spiritual laws—that have proceeded from Me and My love; and that in reality it is My laws that govern all life in the whole creation—and therefore also your life in matter—because My law stands above everything.
When spiritual laws are spoken of, many look questioningly or shake their heads because they do not know what to make of them. And because they do not know them, they cannot observe them, cannot live by them, cannot include them in their thinking, speaking, and doing. But whether they know and acknowledge them changes nothing about the fact that every being is bound into the spiritual laws.
Thus many people resemble marionettes being pulled by invisible strings. They are like pieces on a chessboard that are moved without knowing those who push them back and forth. Indeed, they believe their movement is caused by themselves. In reality, however, they do not live; they are being lived.
There is great ignorance among My children, and it contributes to people going blindly through their daily lives, showing a lack of understanding, not believing in Me, often not understanding themselves, and one chaos following another. Your ecclesiastical authorities cannot teach you these laws because they do not know them. Like so many others, they too hang like marionettes on strings invisible to them and are guided by those behind them in directions determined by them. And so the blind are led by the blind.
If My laws were known, the world would look different. Whoever knows that everything from Me is founded upon My love, and whoever has already experienced this love in his life, can no longer ignore My working. He begins to live according to My commandments, and he experiences how little by little much, and finally everything, that previously caused worries and fears dissolves—because through My law I serve all those who serve My law. Whoever grasps My teachings in their depth also recognizes in them the tool I place in his hand, which will help him to victory—even over himself.
The forces of darkness have tried from time immemorial to suppress knowledge of My universal laws of love. They do everything they can so that human beings do not recognize themselves and their true nature, and therefore do not know what happens around them in the invisible realm.
I am the Father of all My creatures, and it is My will—and it will be fulfilled—that each one finds its way back to My heart. That is why I give you ever deeper insights, practically letting you “look behind the scenes,” so that you too do not go blindly through your life, but recognize and understand in the depths of your heart, and so that where necessary you correct something.
Today I will bring one aspect of My laws a little closer to you, although I have already revealed Myself concerning it in various ways. I give it the heading “The Invisible Is Reality.”
The human being has his five senses, which convey impressions of what is happening around him and with which he can perceive his surroundings and himself; but these impressions reflect a reality that is only a part—a very small part—of the truth. The human being normally lacks the antennae to perceive what does not exist for his senses. He lacks intuition, sensitivity, clairvoyance, and clairaudience. His inner eyes and ears are still closed; his inner feeling is still relatively coarse.
Whoever sets out on the path to Me and begins to live love in his life will develop; his consciousness will expand, and he will unfold abilities—gradually, as is good for him—with which he can look beyond the narrow horizon of his five senses. But to develop these abilities through corresponding techniques is not in My sense. If they arise as a consequence of an intimate connection with Me or were taken into this incarnation as a task, then it does correspond to My law.
When I say that what is invisible to you is reality, I mean the worlds that are still closed to your outer eyes, from which most people conclude either that they do not exist or that they exist somewhere far away. Yet they are immediately around you; just as this room too is now filled with a multitude of souls who have followed My call and are listening to My teachings. For what I have to say to My children in the earthly garment applies equally to them.
I want to make the subject clear to you through an image, using the example of a soul preparing to incarnate again. If it has listened to the teachings of its guardian angel or spiritual helpers, the incarnation is well prepared, both as to the time and the circumstances into which it will be born. A soul that has been instructed and recognizes the necessity of a new incarnation generally enters its new earthly life full of joy and good will. It is filled with the goals it has set itself, full of enthusiasm for and about what it can accomplish, and has complete trust in those who—spiritually invisible—stand by its side in life.
But it also knows that through incarnation it is entering the realm of darkness. Yet “above,” where it is brighter than on this earth, everything looks relatively easy; and many souls cannot imagine that their plan to learn in a new life what is still lacking could fail.
And so they go to earth, and My law causes them to forget what came before. The brain of the new little citizen of earth is empty, but his soul is not empty. It brings into its new life its potential of good intentions and qualities, of powers already unfolded. But it also brings its burdens, what it recognized in the beyond as wrong and now wants to make good or do differently; for that is precisely what it wants to overcome. It therefore does not enter this life like an unwritten sheet, like a freshly opened rose, but carries light and darkness within itself. With these it enters matter, upon and within which darkness rages.
From the beginning both the good powers concern themselves with the soul and the dark opposing forces seek to act upon the vibrations of the negative that the soul still carries within itself, and thus to reach the soul. A struggle for the soul begins. A human being, or his soul, becomes a plaything of good and evil, pulled back and forth by impulses that come from love and whisperings that want to bring about the opposite.
These attempts to bring My human child onto the luminous or the dark path continue throughout a lifetime. Since darkness too has free will, it may approach a human child in every conceivable way. And because it sees the points at which the soul is still burdened, it will begin precisely there in order to make the soul waver or fall—and of course not where the soul has already become strong. This also makes it understandable why it is so important to attain self-knowledge. The opposing side knows every individual because his radiation, his vibration, reveals him. Do you know yourself as well, My child? Do you too know where your line of defense has its weak points?
So if you believe you can rely upon your five senses because you perceive nothing of all this, you are under a great delusion. If inner sight were already possible for you, you would recognize what is happening around you without interruption; which powers stand at your side to serve you, and when these must withdraw if—against your better knowledge—you violate the law of love.
But you would also perceive the partly dark figures who wait for an opportunity to influence you and who—through the law of attraction—do so in a very subtle way as soon as you give them an opportunity. They can draw near and reach you only when your inner light is not strong enough, and they can seduce you only when they find a correspondence in your soul and then bring you to inner feelings, thinking, speaking, and acting that do not correspond to the good intentions you once formed in the beyond.
Every being is more or less continuously exposed to these whisperings, these attempts at influence. I too, as Jesus of Nazareth, came to know the attempts at seduction by My adversary. But equally constant and immediate is the effort of the countless spiritual helpers to let energy flow to a human being of good will and to set the course for right action.
All this is hidden from your eyes, and yet it is reality. It is the reality that surrounds you as a world you cannot perceive, that protects, comforts, and accompanies you, or else watches, presses, and influences you—according to the state of your mind and soul, also your physical condition, your decision, your desires, and your willing.
Because this fact of invisible influence is unknown to people, they cannot defend themselves against it either; that is why so many hang like marionettes on strings held by subtle beings and by energies that determine the direction of their lives.
Turning toward Me, followed by surrender when your love becomes greater and greater, does not immediately end the attempts at influence, but it makes you less susceptible because inwardly you become stronger. It may still happen again and again that the opposing forces make you stumble, let you slide for hours or days into a low state of soul, perhaps even cause you to trip or fall. But if your love for Me, for what is good, is great enough, and if you do not cease in your effort, then I will raise you up again and again; and after every fall, or every rising again, you will emerge stronger from your struggle.
For it is a struggle for every soul, conducted unnoticed in the background, whose effects—a temporary victory or temporary defeat for one of the two sides—nevertheless show themselves outwardly and are perceived at least by those who have learned to look somewhat deeper.
I have often told you that I come many hundreds of steps toward a child who makes an effort and asks Me for help. And now I also want to explain what is meant by this figurative expression and what then happens.
Since, or because, a large part of your negative behavior lies in your soul and “rises up” from there on corresponding occasions, that is also the point to seek and find where work must begin in order to bring about a change. But no human being can penetrate into the realm of his soul. You can resolve to do many things differently and better in the future, and with My help much will succeed, especially when you are of good will—but you cannot enter the deeper layers of your consciousness and finally your soul. Only indirectly can you bring about a brightening of your soul through an effort toward love, which then produces a change in the soul. But if nothing changes there, something flows again and again from this source and rises “upward” into the human being, against which he can scarcely or not at all defend himself. That is why so many good intentions cannot be put into practice.
The only One who reaches your soul and can transform what is dark there into light is Me! And I do it when I recognize the sincere request in the heart of My child. I therefore go to the root of the cause and work where the true fault lies: in the invisible realm. If something is transformed there, My child, it can no longer rise “upward,” and it can no longer serve as a point of attack for the attempts of darkness, because there is no longer anything of like kind that can react or communicate with it. For the whole influence that darkness exerts upon My human children takes place according to the law of spiritual attraction. Where nothing negative remains, or where the remaining negative is no longer strongly developed, nothing negative can exert influence either.
That is My share in your effort, and beyond that I strengthen you, give you courage, grant you new joy again and again, and encourage you not to leave the path you once began, but to walk it to the end with discipline and earnestness. Then enlightening words such as these about invisible dangers will no longer cause fear; you will indeed know about the possibilities of oppression, but you will also see the great light that is likewise around you without interruption and merely waits to draw nearer and nearer to you and finally to fill you completely.
I let My love flow to you, My sons and daughters, and this love is joined with strength for your path. It makes you strong; above all it makes you watchful. For when you go into the day with this new knowledge, you will surely consider whether you give way to this or that negative inner feeling or to a corresponding thought or action, because you now know that forces stand behind them that do not wish you well. In the same moment you will turn toward Me, who live within you, who have all power, who love you, and who, in the same moment in which you come to Me in inner feeling, draw you to My heart.
