Divine Revelation
My beloved sons and daughters, inner work is the heart of the way back to your eternal home. I point this out to you again and again; for without a change in your human patterns of behavior toward what is loving and understanding, toward tolerance and clarity, you will make only laborious progress. But if it is your desire, after laying aside your material body—for which, in ignorance and mistakenly, you coined the fear-laden term “death”—to enter bright and expansive realms, then you will not be able to avoid beginning already during your earthly life to ennoble your soul.
Most who believe in Me do indeed hope that somehow life continues, but because of incorrect instruction and also because of a lack of personal initiative to seek enlightenment and knowledge responsibly for themselves, their ideas of life in the beyond in most cases remain vague and are false. Above all, little or no knowledge exists of what a person can contribute so that his soul—that is he himself!—later finds the place he secretly longs for: namely in the light and, if possible, on higher planes that already allow a faint sense of the heavens.
Yet people, at least Christendom, know the commandment of love for God and neighbor that I brought them as Jesus of Nazareth. They know it, but they do not recognize its central significance. It is so absolute that no other commandment is needed. And therefore nothing else is important for a successful return home except the serious effort to put My commandment of love into practice! Love—and nothing else!
Although My commandment of love is emphasized in your Scripture as the chief commandment, the opposing forces have succeeded in distracting people from this primary requirement, or in portraying its application in everyday life as so difficult that it cannot be accomplished with human strength. In that they are not wrong, for your human strength alone is not sufficient to withstand the continual assault of negative influences.
But I, who live within you, am very well able to stop the attacks on your weak points and transform your weaknesses into strengths.
The opposing side knows this only too well; it has had to experience it again and again and still does: Before My power it must retreat!
From the recognition of human inadequacy and at the same time ignorance that I am the power of change, dissolution, and redemption dwelling within the human being, there arose, among many other views, the idea that one could rely on My grace through faith alone. Other theologians among you placed more emphasis on tradition and what had been handed down, on good works and on teachings of their own, which they declared to be dogmas—My alleged will—and in this way gagged and bound ignorant believers.
How My commandment of love can be put into practice despite all adversities and inconveniences of daily life; how My power of love works within the human being; how greatly I come toward everyone who calls Me and asks; how recognized faults of character and recognized wrong conduct can be dissolved with Me and transformed into what is positive—about all this My children were not instructed, except through constant admonitions to improve themselves.
How could this have happened? Only the one who has something can give something. And only the one who has walked the path himself can be a good guide. But whoever walks the way of love has the depth of the wisdom and truth contained within it opened to him. He has no need to answer with a shrug of the shoulders, nor does he need to offer superficial solutions that in the long run will bear no fruit because they change nothing in the soul, about which he knows little or nothing.

Inner work is important and, in the long run, indispensable from two perspectives: first, with regard to how your future life “over there” takes shape when you have completed the years of your learning on earth; and second, because it is My will that already in the “here and now” many physical and psychological reliefs and improvements arise for you, blows of fate are softened or do not come into effect at all, and peace and freedom become your daily companions.
Today I want to speak to you about how to do it correctly so that you may soon reap the fruits of your effort. For there are many ideas about this—also many false ones—about what you can do or believe you must do from your side, and what My help looks like quite concretely, how it works, and what it brings about within you. This also includes the view that inner work or the way with Me is laborious and difficult to master.
Truly, I tell you, it will be far more laborious for everyone who does not begin to take his first steps. For it is as your Scripture says: “My yoke is gentle and My burden is light”—measured against the heaviness that awaits you without My help. Your part is vanishingly small compared with Mine, which out of love for you I take upon Myself, something I have often expressed in the words: “If you take only one step toward Me, I come many steps toward you.” What I ask of you first and foremost is that you decide. With that much has already been gained.
A few examples will help you understand the connections better. You will find further examples in your own lives that concern your own problems, difficulties, and inadequacies, provided you look for them. Often enough you already know them; not infrequently they have accompanied you for a long time.
The way you can approach them and resolve them with My help is in principle always the same: On the one side you have your human weak points, all of which are rooted in the fact that in self-will you do or fail to do something; and on the other side I am there with the working of My love when I see the desire of a child who wants to follow Me.
Because the first step toward improvement, as one of your proverbs says, is self-knowledge, darkness does everything it can to suppress it. For this it has found many possibilities, all of which make use of your weakness of wanting to appear good, that is, not wanting to be as an honest examination would bring to light. Therefore corresponding indications are ignored or denied by you, or blame is shifted to the other person, or all kinds of flimsy excuses or explanations are sought and found in order not to have to recognize the truth.
You can avoid this trap, which always appears at the beginning of your inner work, by beginning to see yourselves and your conduct in a way that is, so to speak, neutral, from another, higher perspective—approximately as I see you. It is not a matter of suppressing or glossing over something, but of seeing it without condemning it. Otherwise you have scarcely any chance of looking at yourselves without prejudice, because your ego will thwart you.
The little magic word “still” can help you: I am still like this … For that says that you have decided and are already in the process of changing something—provided this is the case. And that is already a small reason for joy, a joy I place within you, strengthen, and share with you.
If you go attentively through the day, you will notice that the law of correspondence or resonance repeatedly seeks to lead you to insight, namely whenever, because of a small or great event, you react more or less strongly on an emotional level. Then something within you has begun to vibrate that wants to tell you: “There is still something in you that you do not yet know or do not want to look at more closely.”
The energy of the day, based on the law of spiritual attraction, has presented you with something in order to call you to look into it and decide whether you want, with My help, to work on it, change it, and dissolve it.
Now you are called upon—always assuming that you have the desire to advance step by step on your way home. You can now use this opportunity or let it pass. Figuratively speaking, I stand beside you and wait while I radiate My love toward you and speak to your soul:
“My beloved child, precisely now I am very, very near you. I want to make you strong and remind you of the love you carry within. Of My love, from which you are and to which you want to return. Decide to act in the spirit of love. Do not listen to the whisperings that advise you to get your way, play your cards, act in self-will as you please because you have the right to do so. Listen to My tender voice within you that is now making you thoughtful. Feel My love.”
You are led continually into such and similar situations; many of them you do not notice because the day and your work rush you along and your senses are constantly occupied. If you ask Me to make you more vigilant than before, I will fulfill this request. Vigilance is in any case one of the basic prerequisites for getting out of the “rut” of your life at all.
Whenever you have received an impulse and also noticed it, the next step is due, one that is underestimated and neglected even though it is the most important: How do you decide? Do you want to change something?
Many people have many realizations. They often sense that something is not right, that something should proceed differently, that they should change one habit or another, and much more. Why, then, does everything nevertheless so often remain the same? Why does life so often continue along the well-worn tracks in which you “really” do not feel comfortable? Why are the same mistakes made again and again, even though they have so often already caused anger, worries, or even suffering?
My question to you: Can one of the main reasons be that you made no decision? Or that it was a half-hearted decision? Or that only a casually spoken prayer came from your lips without your heart being in it? Because you merely had the desire to become free of the situation, the circumstances, the consequences, the inconveniences, or whatever bothers you, but not of what your ego derives as a “benefit” from it? That, My beloved, is understandable, but it would not advance you in your soul-development and the strengthening of your character, because it would not help you look more closely at the reasons for your conduct.
I have given My children free will, in which I never intervene. Your free will—that is, your doing or not doing—has led you to where you now stand and has prepared for you the harvest whose seed you yourselves laid. To many this seems an unmerciful statement in which they miss love.
Yet truly, I tell you, precisely in this lies My love, which ultimately brings everyone to reflect upon himself. In this reflection I am present; if even a deep examination of conscience is necessary, I am the One who gives the impulses. Above all, however, I am the power of love that dissolves the old and builds the new. The One who makes a new human being out of you, who gives back to you the peace you had lost. And this without ever holding the mirror of your guilt before you.
If you have the will to dissolve and leave behind the old, and if you ask for help, all the powers of the heavens you need are available to you. “Leaving the old behind” also means giving up the advantages you drew from your previous conduct. If you want to reflect on this, I will help you find answers. They range from abuse of power and manipulation, through false lust and unbridled passions of every kind, to comfort-seeking, inertia, refusal to assume responsibility for one’s own life, and far beyond … Change requires motivation. The worst is wanting to become free of something merely because it continually causes trouble and brings difficulties. The best is wanting to change out of love for Me because you have recognized that one or more qualities of your nature do not fit a child of God. Then longing will grow within you, and I can draw you closer to My heart. Not somehow in theory, but quite practically, because the bond between us becomes closer—often perceptible even physically—and the joy of being able to go through the day more intensely with Me increasingly determines your life.
Among the many human weaknesses of My children—who do not even know that their souls suffer from them—the temptation by darkness to place oneself above one’s neighbor is the most widespread. This often happens in such small doses and has become so habitual for you that it is no longer noticed. It has become normality, and very few recognize in it their pride and at the same time their lack of humility.
You know that I am unconditional love. Then you also know that unconditional means: My life within you, which at the same time is My love, is not tied to conditions demanding a particular conduct from you, failing which I would turn away from you. I love. Period. At most you harm yourselves when and because you reject My love.
On the way to Me you too increasingly become unconditional love. You then still see what is happening in your world, how your neighbor behaves—and above all how you yourselves behave!—but you no longer apply to your neighbor your imperfect, false, human standard, the measuring rod you yourselves have made. If at present you still do this by devaluing the other person because in your eyes he has by no means reached your level of consciousness or still does many things wrongly according to your view, then in this you could recognize, for example, a non-divine quality.
If you wish, you can then decide to allow this trait within you to be transformed through Me, while naturally you must contribute your part. Not least, you would have to give up the extremely questionable energy that until now flowed to you briefly through “placing yourself above the other.” In its place I would become stronger and stronger within you.
If you ask Me to draw your attention during the day to false thinking and to any devaluation of your brother or sister, I will do so. The more sincere your desire, the more vigilant you will become, for I am in and with you. I will speak into your thoughts and remind you of your intention: “That is not how I wanted to think anymore. Forgive me.” If necessary, however, it may happen that I ask you directly, when you repeatedly think disparagingly about your neighbor’s appearance or conduct: “What business is that of yours?” For if you want to be a moral authority, then begin with yourself and shape your life as an example—including the areas your surroundings do not see but that are not hidden from Me. The world of your thoughts belongs to these as well.
So immediate is the bond between Me and you, so directly do I guide you, because I want to be everything to you—your great love—when you say yes to Me. So near am I to you, your God and Father, whom you once believed you would find, if ever at all, in some distant heavens!
Then, invisibly, a change takes place in your soul because I “work” in and on your soul; for through your decision, through your yes, you have given Me the possibility to do so. I have not touched your free will; on the contrary, I take your decision of will in order to make you strong and to transform within you what does not yet correspond to a radiant and joyful child of God. My energy of love becomes effective within you, and from your soul a new, brighter consciousness shines into your human self and from your human self out into the world.
That is inner work; and however small it may appear at first glance because it concerns only the individual human being, its effect is nevertheless great—both in the short term and the long term. For it is the core of bringing back all that has fallen and bringing it home.
For this I came into the world; for this I loosened what was bound. With My power of love, which on Golgotha I lowered into all souls and human beings, you, and you, and you too can fulfill My commandment of love for God and neighbor and contribute your part to bringing your brothers and sisters home.

Using the example of devaluing or condemning other people, I have shown you how darkness works and what you can do against it with My help. All other human faults and weaknesses can likewise be transformed in this way. But take care that in searching for your weak points—if they do not already reveal themselves through the events of the day—you do not remain on the surface. Nor fall into the error of now digging compulsively ever deeper in order to find even the last and smallest root of a way of thinking or acting. If you ask Me for help, I will provide the right balance between searching and recognizing.
It would be too simple, for example, to say: “I must work on my ego.” Of course it is your ego that gives you trouble. But what does your ego consist of? Giving Me your ego will not work; for that would mean asking Me to turn all your shadowed sides wholesale into bright ones without your having to decide that you truly want to stop this or that.
And what would happen if tomorrow you were without your ego? Who or what would fill the gap that had arisen? My power of love can indeed be asked for, but at the same time it must grow through a life with Me, through the experiences you make thereby. And this happens as you go with Me through your everyday life, remain vigilant and ready to learn; which allows your love for Me and your neighbor to grow.
It is similar with the often-used term “bonds.” Bonds too have countless aspects. Basically everything that is not free in the divine sense is bondage to people, things, ideologies, ideas, and much more. Heaven does not bind; it is freedom!
Why did you allow yourselves to be bound, or bind yourselves? What do you gain from it? What would you lack if you let it go? When you engage with this question, you will discover that releasing bonds is not at all so simple, even when you want to do so or when doing so would be advisable. This can then be an alarm signal to think seriously about solving the problem—and above all to come to Me with it.
Do insecurity and fear already rise at the mere thought of leaving behind some old, ingrained pattern at one point or another and initiating something new? Inner work is also concerned with this. The opposing side works extremely skillfully by entering your weak points again and again. If you want to see it positively: The finger is continually placed in the same wound, which signals to the one who is attentive and wants to know himself: “There is still something within me that needs correction through the power of Christ; otherwise it would not repeatedly occupy my thoughts or seek to move me toward conduct I actually do not want”—provided you have recognized this point of your conduct as needing change, because otherwise everything remains as it is.
The law of resonance or correspondence has done good work in such a case: You were given a nudge and you noticed it.
If, for example, you notice that your thoughts continually circle around the same point and negative feelings are connected with it, it is high time to remember My power. Then an attempt is being made to influence you, either to make or keep you restless, to nourish doubts, intensify fears, move you toward a particular conduct, appeal to your lower human instincts, block your inner access to Me, and, and, and …
Then come to Me inwardly and discuss with Me what is moving you. Speak with Me as with your best friend. But do not do it only once, not merely superficially, not—as you say—between one thing and another. Agree with Me that I guide your thoughts as soon as you notice dark forces around you. Do not wait long with your request, your call for help; best of all, come to My side in that very moment.
In this way you give the opposing side no opportunity in the first place to play its evil game with you. Against the thoughts that want to pull you down, continually set thoughts of the loving and light-filled power that I am within you. It will not take long before the feeling within you grows stronger and becomes certainty that darkness has withdrawn. It had to withdraw—in accordance with the law—because it cannot withstand My light within you.
At any time you have the possibility of asking Me for strengthening in a difficult situation and thus entering My protection. In the long run, however, this cannot be the solution; for if such a thing repeatedly becomes necessary, this means at the same time that the point of entry used by darkness has not yet been closed.
Your main attention must therefore be directed toward transforming your soul’s weak points into strengths so that you can withstand the attacks of darkness. For it will continue trying to seduce you back into old conduct; at least for a time, until it has to recognize that at this point it can no longer accomplish anything with you. It has this right, for it too has free will. But its attempts will fail to the degree that you—and this applies to all human beings and souls—gain inner strength in and with Me and become light.

I have shown you the principle of inner work. If you acknowledge it, then in it you can also find the answer to the questions asked at the beginning: “Why does everything nevertheless so often remain the same? Why does life often continue along the well-worn tracks in which you ‘really’ do not feel comfortable? Why are the same mistakes made again and again, even though they have so often already caused anger, worries, or even suffering?”
Inner work is the solution to all problems altogether. But here and now it is about you, about your progress, your development in love, your becoming free of what still burdens you. In the same way I showed you in the examples of devaluing others and of bonds, you can come to Me with everything in you and your conduct that does not yet correspond to the commandment of love: with your anger and outbursts, your games of power and intrigue, your unforgiveness and resentment, your disorder and hectic pace, your addictions and passions, your exaggerated conformity and begging to be loved, your indecision and stubbornness … The list of human facets of ego and bondage is overwhelmingly long.
Whatever weakness is involved, its transformation through My power of love always takes place in the same or a similar way: recognition is followed next—depending on the seriousness of the guilt—by sincere regret up to deep repentance, then the decision, and then the way inward, to the place where I wait for you. There you speak to Me.
How? That is up to you. Only: Do not choose set words, and if possible also free yourselves from what others have already said or written. I need you as an original! Express in what you want to tell Me your inner feelings. And if you feel like it, let tears flow as well. In every case, however, let it be you yourselves who connect with Me in love. And if you want, if you desire it, or if you can already do so, then tell Me of your longing and love.
And during the whole time you are with Me and speaking to Me, I tell you of My infinite love and at the same time radiate it into your heart. You will feel and finally know that the two of us have made a new beginning and that much will go more easily in the future because you have asked Me aboard your ship of life as the pilot.
That is the way, My child. What is so difficult about it?
