Divine Revelation
Sons and daughters of My love, when the spiritual being dwelling within you was still with Me in the indescribable glory, infinity, and beauty of the heavens, insight and discernment were yours with a clarity, indeed a brilliance, that surpasses all human imagination. This applied and still applies to all My children, for I endowed you with portions of My divine power and greatness and with a fully unfolded consciousness.
Close your eyes for a moment and, even if it is very difficult or scarcely possible for you, let this image of a heavenly creature—the angel you are for all eternity—arise within you. This is how I see you, every single son, every single daughter: infinitely strong, infinitely sovereign, infinitely capable of love, and full of understanding and wisdom.
Then, for different reasons, you left the heavens. But whether this was due to the Fall or arose from the desire to descend into matter in order, out of love for Me and your brothers and sisters on earth, to help them: in every case, when you became embodied in a human body you had to leave behind much spiritual potential that had previously determined your life and activity in the heavens.
With Me, when I incarnated in Jesus of Nazareth, it was not fundamentally different. I too, as Jesus, had to struggle and overcome; otherwise I could not have been an example to you and thereby shown you how to live love, how to recognize the methods of darkness, how to arm yourselves against them—and nevertheless remain in love—and how finally to win the confrontations with the many attacks and, in doing so, step by step uncover again the divinity of your being. For the attacks to which everyone is exposed are nothing other than a continual assault upon the defenses of your human self in order to damage the more or less well-secured “fortress of the soul,” which is what the opposing forces are really after.
Unlike you, darkness knows that your soul is the more important part of your being compared with your transient body.*) For your soul—that is you when you have left your body and enter the worlds beyond—remains for varying periods of time in the spheres corresponding to its vibration or condition, until it develops further in the subtle realms or decides upon a new incarnation.
That is why satanic forces continually and at every opportunity try to keep the human being from developing in the spirit of love. For a soul that has not allowed itself to be diverted in its effort to live love enters, in the beyond, regions of light where My adversaries and yours can no longer reach it. Thus the human body, its psyche, its surroundings, and much more are targets of darkness only insofar as through them it exerts influence upon your subtle body, upon your soul.
If you too were truly conscious that your life lasts eternally, most of you would conduct yourselves differently from how you have until now. By “conscious” I do not mean that you know about life after death or about your true heavenly home. You who know My revealed word, which I have been giving to the world for centuries and with increased intensity in recent decades, know this; so do the many who have sought and found answers to the important questions “Where from, why, and where to?”
But knowledge does not replace awareness! The latter develops when you live with Me, when you remember to align your conduct in daily life with My commandment of love, when your main attention is no longer directed toward getting through life as a human being as “well as possible,” but when you include the realization of your eternal existence in your thinking, speaking, and acting. If you earnestly endeavor to do this, then I am the One who prepares your paths already during earthly life in such a way that, through the experiences you have with Me, your trust grows and grows, and all your worries and doubts become obsolete.
I know that such a life—free of fear and sheltered as at a mother’s breast—is also your deepest longing. As selfless and unconditional love, I am not only ready to fulfill this desire for you; I am directly waiting for a child to turn to Me in this spirit. For there is nothing more beautiful for Me than to accompany the inner awakening of a human being and his soul and to rejoice when a son or daughter of My love sets out on the way back to the eternal home! Would you as parents not do everything possible to make your child’s return home easier? Can you seriously believe that I would not be ready or able to do this—and infinitely more?
If you affirm what has been said, then it follows that the well-being of your soul is also My first concern; which does not mean that I do not care for your bodily well-being as well, to the degree and in the way you permit it and as, in consequence, it is possible for Me while respecting your free will. But because your material body passes away and cannot at all be taken into subtle realms—as many still believe because of false and misleading teachings of your theologians—My care can in the first place apply only to your soul.
Your human self also serves Me as the means by which to move it, through the path of self-knowledge and the steps of insight and change in conduct that follow from it, toward what has corresponding effects upon the soul. In doing so I am concerned to guide each of your steps so that, on the one hand, it leads in the desired direction—that is, “heavenward”—and, on the other, is connected with as little discomfort for the human being as possible. But there is no way around the fact that you must take your steps and climb rung by rung on your own personal “Jacob’s ladder” or “ladder to heaven.” In this, the school of life on earth and your destiny are My tools and your teachers.
Observing regulations invented by human beings, the rigid, letter-for-letter fulfillment of laws adapted to earlier times, cultivating ancient traditions, adopting patterns of behavior already practiced by the “fathers”—all this and much more does not bring you one step closer to My heart. At the beginning it may prove necessary for one person or another so that he can even approach the thought that there may indeed be a higher power one ought to serve. He then does so in the way he was taught, because he knows no better. But if these aids, these “crutches” permitted by Me—for from a spiritual perspective they are no more than that—are not recognized as the very first rung on your ladder and then overcome in the course of your spiritual development, they constitute a great obstacle that may for a long time prevent your further development in the spirit of the commandment of love that I taught as Jesus of Nazareth.
From this perspective, consider what I told you earlier about the influence of darkness upon human weaknesses. In this way it achieved its goal of preventing the maturing of your soul through your own realizations and decisions. And if you look around—and whoever wishes may look in the mirror if he considers that important—you will recognize the extent of this satanic influence and the resulting deliberately intended spiritual stagnation.

I will reunite My divided creation; that means I will lead everything that has fallen back into unity. This is My will, grounded in My love! Who wants to resist this will of Mine successfully in the long run? Such a power does not exist! For that would mean the creature were greater than the Creator. Or that the light were mightier than the Source from which it proceeds …
Two thousand years ago I came into the world and put a stop to the destruction intended by the forces of darkness. And not only that: at the same time My power of Christ was placed within all human beings and souls, making possible their return home, their reentry into their eternal home; for because of the Fall its gates had been closed until that time. Through My victory, which was a victory of light and love over darkness and opposition, I opened the heavens again.
The greater part of the people among whom I incarnated had moved far away from Me in their inner feelings and thoughts and, consequently, in their actions. People worshiped a God for whom they built magnificent outward temples, but whom they no longer knew or felt within themselves. Dutiful observance of their laws had become for them the standard of a life pleasing to God. They worshiped Me in their houses of stone and took care to bring Me their outward sacrifices in the proper way. For many, cultivating traditions and rites replaced examining their willingness to bring Me “inner sacrifices.” Brotherly and sisterly love, being there for and with one another, humility, and the effort to develop warmth of heart were used by only a few as the measuring rod.
Through targeted influence upon human weaknesses, darkness had succeeded in shifting the importance of all action to outward things. Love, the driving force of every development, led a shadowy existence. Large parts of the priestly caste, which over many centuries had built up and expanded its position, had become an instrument of negative forces and exercised power over the people. Their instructions, regulations, and prohibitions were omnipresent in people’s daily activities.
I knew very well what concentrated resistance I would encounter, for My simple teaching would—both in the short term and over the long term—shake their teaching, cause their house of cards to collapse, and diminish their prestige and authority among many. It was therefore not the common people who closed themselves to Me; it was the scribes, Pharisees, and priests who saw Me as their enemy. Inspired by the opposing forces, they incited the ignorant and easily influenced mass of the people and stirred them up to put an end to My activity. The rest is known.
Yet many still do not know the full extent of it; for My physical death was not the end, but the beginning. It was the beginning of bringing all My children home. This was My will, and it was fulfilled.
Whoever, from a false perspective, judges My mission to have failed, I ask: “Has the farmer failed merely because the seed he placed in the ground must first sprout and therefore cannot immediately bring forth the desired fruits?”

What was so dangerous about My message that the servants of the temple and their following did everything they could to suppress it?
I called into question the necessity of their mediation of salvation and therefore their authority to teach! I taught that every human being has direct access to God within himself. I presented this God as love, as a Father to whom everyone can come at any time—without having to take a detour through an outward mediator, through those learned in the Bible, the educated, and scholars. And I gave human beings the only key required that enables them successfully to walk the path to God: love lived out in daily life! Reduced to the shortest and simplest possible formula, it says: love—and nothing else.
That made Me their enemy, for My words and My work were revolutionary. Then as now.
But many among the people believed Me and believed in Me, even though they did not understand everything I told them. Yet they felt the truth in My words. They allowed Me to kindle the fire of longing and love within them, for it was to become a sweeping blaze spreading across the whole earth so that My word might be fulfilled: “I make all things new!” It has become such a blaze, even if a look at world events seems to reflect the opposite and repeatedly gives rise to the question: “Father, when will the fruits of Your teaching of love become visible?”

My sons and daughters, by now you know that everything is constant evolution, and that nothing becomes “by itself and in a single moment” what it is meant to become. This principle concerns both spiritual and material creation.
If you want to do something good for a child, you will prepare what it is to learn and present it in the proper measure so that it can be understood. You will proceed step by step; one thing will build upon another. No responsible person would think of overwhelming an ignorant child with the entirety of knowledge.
Do you believe I acted differently as Jesus of Nazareth? Do you credit My wisdom two thousand years ago—just as yesterday, today, and for all eternity—with being able to teach human beings what they could understand and apply according to their consciousness, that is, their capacity to comprehend—and no more? Thus not overburdening them by overwhelming them with a vast quantity of spiritual truths and laws?
If you are certain that I act in this way, then at the same time you know that My teachings at that time represented only the first link in an infinitely long chain of My wisdom, although they already contained the core sentence: “Love God, your Father, above all, and your neighbor as yourself.” Then you also know that beyond this there would have been far more to say, especially regarding putting this commandment into practice, the difficulties that arise in doing so, the constant invisible presence of darkness and its disruptive maneuvers, your possibilities of becoming inwardly stronger in order to be armed against them, the law of sowing and reaping that continually acts upon your life, and much more.
But even in My closest circle, in My family and among My apostles and disciples, I not seldom encountered lack of understanding, for the new way of thinking—to encounter God, the Father, within oneself in absolute freedom—was unfamiliar to most. The bonds of upbringing, social pressures, and often also the burden of previous incarnations were still strong.
I did what you too would do when you recognize that the limits of another person’s ability to learn, receive, and understand have been reached: I postponed further teachings, which I often clothed in parables and images, to a later time and promised to send human beings My Spirit, who would lead them more deeply into My wisdom.
I kept My promise.
Darkness, however, was not inactive. It succeeded in bringing your scholars of Scripture to the conviction that My word, which is recorded only in fragments in your Scriptures and in many places no longer corresponds to the original, is all that I have to proclaim to My human children. They passed this false opinion on to you, and they still do so today; in part even under threat of eternal punishment in hell, though no longer as publicly and obviously as before.
What do you feel when it is explained to you: “Everything said through God must be measured against what He has already said”? What would you answer a school administration that rejects the new and building curriculum of the second grade on the grounds that it was not contained in the curriculum of the first grade? Would you simply pass over it or perhaps only shrug your shoulders? Never! And when the far more important decision concerns the development and path of your soul?
Be watchful, My sons and daughters, and use your intellect!
You, My beloved human children, in many cases and on many occasions did not listen to your heart even though questions and uncertainties were present. And this is one of the reasons I teach you the logic of the heart, which is meant to make you personally responsible children of My love, free from every influence and attachment.
If you consult your heart and include your intellect—whereby it fulfills its task best as the right hand of the heart—much will open within you. You will find answers that remain closed to your intellect alone. In this way, step by step, you lay aside your ignorance and often also the fears still present, through which darkness has made you servants and maids, even though in truth you are free creatures of the heavens!
Remember My opening words: Alongside many other divine qualities of Mine, an unclouded clarity in inner feeling and thought is also your own, though often still lightly or heavily covered by your own ideas. If you are ready to strive for or further develop this clarity, which is part of your awareness, then you are increasingly protected from falling into the numerous traps set by your adversary. For then you are firmly rooted in Me.
I will give you an image for this:
Every ideology is like a wind that moves across the land. Here it is weaker, there stronger, depending on the contents it carries with it. Whatever is not firmly rooted it takes along and carries off in the direction it desires. Or it is blown first this way and then that, without support like a feather in the wind. In this way it cannot put down roots or anchor itself firmly in the earth. It is and remains a plaything of forces that have no interest in its growth and therefore try everything to keep it in motion and thereby prevent it from coming into contact with the earth. The solution, which at the same time represents the rescue of what has been uprooted, lies in its decision and subsequent action to put down deep and firm roots where safety is assured: in Me, all-embracing love.
Become, be, and remain aware, My beloved, that I live within you. My assistance has already helped you in so many situations; most of the time you did not even notice that I was your companion and protector. My help will grow stronger when you begin, together with Me, to clean the clouded windows of your soul. In this way your ego loses more and more power over you, and the child of My love that is still partly hidden—the heavenly being within you—unfolds and comes more and more strongly to expression.
Then eventually it will become a certainty for you with which life can be lived wonderfully: that there is only life and no death and no destruction. Then joy gains the upper hand that you have set out on the path at My hand in order to become again what you have been from eternity; that you are in the process of taking possession of your heavenly inheritance and reclaiming what has always been your own, and what as a human being you have longed for so deeply: infinite security, inner riches in abundance, unconditional trust, boundless freedom, and a capacity for love you would not have thought possible.
All of this is within you! I came into the world to walk with you the path that leads into this land. It lies much closer than you think.
If your heart is open, then despite all the seriousness of My words you will discover My love within them. You will feel it all the more deeply and directly the more intensely you live with Me. Its true greatness, however, you will understand and experience only when you are wholly with Me again.
