Divine Revelation
My beloved sons and daughters, when I, as Jesus of Nazareth, spoke to people in parables, I did so because in that way I could most readily reach them inwardly. Some of My figurative sayings and comparisons are recorded in your Scriptures. Not much has changed in the way and form in which I have revealed Myself since then—that is, throughout the entire two thousand years down to the present day; I still use images and examples.
My male and female disciples often asked Me to explain to them the deeper meaning of a parable. This should not surprise you or even cause you to shake your heads at so much simplicity and lack of understanding. Remember that everything I brought to people was completely new to them. They had scarcely any spiritual knowledge; but a longing burned in their hearts, though they themselves were often unaware of it. Those who listened to Me with sincere willingness and open ears had for the most part incarnated from the pure heavens and therefore were not involved in the events of the Fall. Their incarnation took place at their own request, in order together with Me to lay the foundation for a new humanity.
The little spiritual knowledge available to people at that time was conveyed to them by the scribes and Pharisees. And it was exactly the opposite of what I taught.
The great majority had not learned, or were not accustomed, to question a statement—even when it was expressed figuratively for easier understanding—to look, so to speak, “behind the scenes.” As a result they were also unable to draw their own conclusions toward further understanding, or even consequences from what they had heard. Very few reflected on what My teaching of love meant for their present or later spiritual life.
There were exceptions. They were found among those who took My words seriously and who, because of their faith in Me and their love for Me, changed their lives. But many who listened to Me resembled recipients of good news. They acknowledged it with a nod, then turned again to their daily affairs.
Does one or another among you already sense the further thought of this revelation? Let us develop it together, for it matters so much to Me that you become not merely readers and hearers of My word but people who think along and act; that you let the knowledge which in so many has accumulated like water on a hardened and therefore scarcely permeable surface seep down into the depths of your consciousness and finally into your soul. For if it remains only on the surface, it cannot help water the seed in your soul so that it brings forth good fruit.
What, in contrast with that time, has changed during the two thousand years when you compare how people today react to Me and deal with My word? Do not exclude yourselves from this examination. You cannot avoid having to give the following answer: Although incomparably more knowledge and information are available today, and people are more enlightened in many respects, the ability and readiness to accept My words and carry lines of thought through to the end are still just as limited.
At that time I was mocked and rejected by many. But then—in the first decades of early Christianity, as you call that time today—an ever greater enthusiasm and joy gradually spread among My followers. Both were rooted in the depths of the soul, in the readiness to live love and in unshakable trust in My guidance. Knowledge acquired intellectually had not increased, but an inner knowing had, one that had grown on the basis of experiences made with Me.
Today you have more insight and a broader horizon than ever before. Today you are able to penetrate the small as well as the great, to investigate both the atomic structure of matter and outer space. Only your ability in a far more important, truly decisive area—namely that of your eternal life—to carry a thought consistently through to the end, draw the necessary conclusions from it and then put them into practice has developed very little. In this respect humanity lags far behind its technical achievements, which are after all only temporary in nature.
Consciousness does not develop in any think tank, laboratory, or drawing office. Consciousness is something other than intelligence or a good memory. It grows and expands in the measure that a human being lives My commandment of love or at least seriously endeavors to do so.
I say all this without any reproach. I am stating a fact. That is something you too should do from time to time. Not so that afterward you feel small and unworthy if the result is not yet as impressive as would be desirable, but so that you recognize where something can still be improved. If that is what you want.
My endeavor is and remains—and will remain until the last of My fallen children and those who voluntarily left are with Me again—to help you gain inner realizations. For these alone can and will be of real help to you in progressing more purposefully than before on the way to your eternal heavenly home. My love admonishes, reminds, encourages, indeed asks and pleads; it is the essence of everything I convey to you and everything that meets you. And not only that: It is life, it is My divine power in every helping hand, every support, every act of accommodation.
It cannot be otherwise. For I possess and am omnipotence; and My will, which can be impaired or influenced by absolutely nothing, is the guarantee that all will find their way back to Me; all without exception, including those who caused the Fall. But over everything watches My selfless and unconditional love!
Inner realizations have nothing to do with religious or esoteric knowledge you have acquired, that has been taught to you, that you have—in the great majority of cases uncritically and without testing—taken over, and that moreover often proves false or defective. As children you had no other possibility, but you grew up … With growing up came more and more of the many and not always easy tasks that had and still have to be mastered. Some turned away from Me, others became indifferent toward Me, and yet others—the majority—held on to the habit of recognizing other people as authorities merely because they have studied or stand “high up” in a church hierarchy.
You cannot study Me! You can only experience Me and live with Me by including Me in your life through expressing My love in everyday life. There is no other way! Then the human being, if he is willing, gradually recognizes the truth.
Never let something “simply become” truth merely because it is presented to you as truth. Let it become your truth. In your reflection and testing, and with My divine laws taken into account, apply the standard of My unconditional and selfless love. What you finally recognize as your truth—which is then also Mine—live by it in the awareness that it is love that accompanies you. Only then, only when it has become your truth, can you proclaim it “successfully.” Only then do you proclaim My love! Otherwise you merely sound like an echo and pass on only what others have given you. This, incidentally, applies not only to instruction from your scribes but to everything presented as My word; thus also to what comes to you through those who stand in My service.
Use, My sons and daughters, what I ask you again and again to use: your intellect.

I spoke of the difficulty or even inability to draw one’s own conclusions or consequences from what I teach you; what you hear with your ears, but which so often does not reach the heart and therefore does not set you on the path toward further and deeper understanding. Whoever acts in this way resembles a person who breaks off something already begun and is content to have received an initial indication.
If a piece of information or news concerns something that, from the human point of view, is important for earthly well-being, no one will merely take note of it and then return to daily business. Or can you imagine learning—though not yet finally confirmed, but already almost certain—that you are to receive a large inheritance, without attending to it as quickly as possible? Without moving heaven and earth to find out whether it is true? Without, if it proves true, rejoicing, planning, making preparations, and, and, and …?
You yourselves can find enough further examples, including situations from your past that challenged you and prompted you to learn more, perhaps even to do a little detective work. Just think of a medical diagnosis that is not so pleasant. Once you have concerned yourselves with it more closely, you then have to decide what the next steps should look like. Would what so often makes you sluggish and indecisive in spiritual matters also keep you from further reflection and activity in the case of an inheritance or an unfavorable diagnosis?
With the logic of the heart that I teach you, with a little practice you possess the ability to think a matter through to its end and thereby recognize whether the path leads to the promised or desired goal; whether your “hiking map” therefore contains the right description and the correct route. You no longer need to break off a thought process once begun, no longer need to stop halfway, perhaps already seeing the goal but full of insecurity and uncertainty about what follows from what has so far been recognized and understood, and what the next step must look like.
In My last revelation (1) I referred to the parable of the prodigal son. I spoke of two prerequisites that must be present in order successfully to begin and complete the way home to the Father’s house: the foundation and the order of the individual steps of the “building project.” Today I will use this parable to work out with you another aspect. It will surprise most of you because until now you have not considered it, because you have not made this connection.
It is, however, a central point; and precisely because it is of such decisive importance, many—most—will not immediately receive and accept it in its final consequence, although they cannot reject the logic and the truth contained in it. Here a fundamental difficulty also becomes clear that exists between accepting My teaching and putting it into practice in daily life:
It is relatively easy to believe My words. But when they are put to the test of practice, more than one person who previously gave his assent withdraws his yes.
I need only remind you of My words: “Love your enemies …”!

You know that all souls and human beings will return to Me. This means, as I have revealed to you more than once, that all are on a circular path that inevitably brings them back to their starting point, back to the heavens. This will happen because it is My will, grounded in My love. For My sons and daughters who consciously decide upon a journey home, this process will not take as long as for those who—in regard to love lived out—make no effort at all; who perhaps even work against Me, or who because of false teachings have allowed themselves to be led onto temporary detours or into dead ends.
But no matter how long the way home lasts: the goal is always Me!
Does it not follow from this that everything that happens to a human being—and later in the beyond to his soul as well—represents a station on his return journey, comparable to the stops on a train journey? That everything, even every moment, resembles a point on the great circular arc that brings him home? Must I give you the answer? Can it be anything other than: “Yes, that is so”?
The cautious among you—and I say this with a smile—will keep a back door open and answer: “It probably cannot be otherwise.”
But what does this fundamental realization mean? As a reminder: a) You are on the way home, b) your goal is love, c) love has the will, the power, and therefore every possibility to bring its children home. You can add d): There are forces that place stones in your path in order to make you waver in your decision.
No inner feeling, thought, word, or deed of a child is hidden from Me. Every one of My creatures is before Me like an open book. I express this deliberately in an image for you because that makes it easier to understand. In reality all this takes place on an energetic level inaccessible to you. I am life, the energy in everything, and therefore I am omnipresent. Thus I know of your small and great efforts, of your striving or lack of striving to find your way home again. How could I, infinite and supreme consciousness, not know the well-being and misfortune of every being I have created and in whom I live?
But I possess no book in which I enter the good and less good of My children. This childishly naive idea, which arose for lack of better knowledge and is still promoted, gives the impression that I reward the good and punish the bad. As an instrument of pressure, a scourge of fear for controlling ignorant believers, it still has to serve, just as it is misused as a means of education: “Dear God sees everything and will punish you for that.”
Yes, I know, see, and hear everything. And still I love! Selflessly and unconditionally!
I will reveal it again and again because it is a decisively important point for understanding Me, My law, and My love correctly:
Every creature that lives outside the pure heavens is bound into the law of sowing and reaping. Every human being determines through his own conduct the measure in which energy of love flows—can flow—to him, which in turn shapes the vibration and strength of his soul. According to the condition of his soul, which is an expression of his character, the principle of cause and effect sets the course. By this I mean the stations of a human life that contain the experiences still to be made, the learning tasks that still need to be undertaken.
It is therefore not I personally who sends you what appears incomprehensible and unjust in your eyes. I do not punish! My law ensures, and does so without error, that sooner or later the next still-unresolved task is placed before you on your journey. This never represents a malicious act on My part, even if in ignorance of the connections you sometimes believe it does. You have the freedom to ignore this helping hand that comes from My love. Then your journey lasts a little longer. Or you can regard it as an opportunity for learning and maturing and undertake the work connected with it with My help. Then everything proceeds more quickly.
I summarize what has been said and add to it. I ask you to keep it in your heart; but this does not mean that you should lock it away there. It means that you should make it a foundation of your thinking and acting, a basis for your love for Me, for your neighbor, and for yourself. Then your conduct will become free of reproaches against Me, of doubts and resistance, and you will become less and less susceptible to the temptations constantly and everywhere lying in wait to attribute the circumstances in your life, and quite generally also in the world, to chance or to My injustice.
Everything is evolution, everything is an everlasting progress, an unfolding.
You too are part of this process; you are actively involved in it.
Every development moves toward a goal, which means:
Every single step of development is directed toward a goal!
No situation is something rigid or final.
Everything is always a transitional phase.
The journey passes through many stations.
At present you are at one of them.
Yesterday’s was the foundation for today’s; today’s prepares tomorrow’s.
Love is your goal; over the long term it draws you irresistibly toward itself.
It therefore cannot be considered the originator of what burdens you.
The countless forms of help it offers can only ever strengthen and build up.
They consist of the tasks the school of life places before you.
Your neighbor is part of them without knowing it.
You are called upon to cooperate positively in the solution.
When this succeeds, another goal-directed step of development has been taken.

If you acknowledge the truth in My words and wish to draw benefit from it for your life, then it is fitting to take the next step: namely, to stop questioning or viewing negatively what your life continually places before you.
It cannot and will not fail to happen that you do not immediately understand many things. Then your trust in Me is called for and at the same time the strength of your soul not to leave the path you have chosen; for you do not know your life plan and therefore do not know what I intend with you. But you cannot at the same time agree with the logic in My words—for example, regard life as a school—and then go and reject the tasks that are due. That is: You can, because you have free will. But then in a quiet hour you should honestly ask yourself how great your desire really is and how serious your effort is to become freer and follow the path I walked before you as Jesus of Nazareth.
Help that you need in order to let a small, still cautious yes become a greater and more determined yes flows to you with My energy of love in an extent beyond your imagining when you ask for it.
In many cases it will already be a help to look at your present life situation from the perspective of what has been revealed today: that at this moment something is being prepared that is to serve as the basis for the following step; that today’s rung is necessary so that you can step onto the next rung of your “ladder to heaven.”
But even if such or a similar process of maturation does not yet appear in your life or is not perceived by you, everything that encounters you has its meaning. It therefore helps you, even if it “only” reminds you to look more honestly than before at difficulties that have existed for a long time or finally to undertake work that has long been due.
You are of course free to say: “I cannot do that.” This is entirely correct, for if you could already do it, it would not come to you as a learning task. So it is a matter of acquiring an ability that is still unfamiliar to you or not yet so well practiced. But it makes no sense to take part in instruction—remember: an incarnation always takes place with the consent of the soul—and then refuse the subject matter on the grounds that you cannot yet do it.
Look at your daily life from this standpoint; look at your conduct toward the people with whom you live in your family, or whom you meet at your workplace and on many occasions, or who are entrusted to you. Does peace prevail there? Have you done everything you can to clarify a difficult situation that may have existed for some time? Are you ready to act consistently where this is required? Have you learned sometimes to say “no” in love? Do you want to learn it? Do you want to practice it with Me if you still do not manage it very well but have long known or sensed that such a learning step is due? Question much that until now you have passed over too quickly. And also observe what fears arise within you when you think of your future, or that of your children, or of people close to you, because you sense that the floodgates have opened. You will find what is there if you do not lack honesty.
And above all, what is most important: See everything as one small mosaic stone that is being set into place right now, in this time and in this incarnation, in order to complete the glorious picture that you are in My eyes. Very often you make the great mistake of regarding one beautiful mosaic stone, or several, as something that must absolutely be held on to and preserved in this form by every means.
It is understandable that you try to hold on to carefree moments or beautiful periods of life. But they are no more than a brief moment on your circular journey home, one station on your trip. You are to use them in the spirit of love, but not hold on to them! For there is a danger in this: Everything a human being tries to hold is taken from him; not because I begrudge it to him, but because I have something else, something more beautiful and better, in store for him. These changes are right and important for you and the development of your soul. Figuratively speaking, I can fill your hands only when they are empty. (2) What you want to hold in self-will, no matter how good and right it may appear to you, must at the given time be wrested from you by the law of sowing and reaping, because room is needed for what stands before you as the next step on your path of evolution. By this I mean the maturation of your soul.
A development that leads you from the stage of human existence to perfection cannot as a rule be completed in one earthly life. It requires corresponding steps of learning and maturation in the realms beyond—if that is meaningful and possible—or it requires a new incarnation on the basis of a voluntary decision. But a life, whether in the material or subtle realm, always represents only one of several, perhaps even many stations, all of which serve to bring you closer to your goal or remind you of the task you have undertaken and prepare you for it.
And therefore everything that encounters you has a goal-directed meaning, whether pleasant or difficult, easy to learn or mastered only with effort. For those of My sons and daughters who believe Me and integrate My word into their lives, it provides no reason to resign or seriously quarrel with Me. Times that are not easy will exist for them as well, but they know of My power of love that lives within them. And they make use of it.
My beloved, allow My words from eternal truth to become firmly rooted within you and thereby become a foundation on which we—I and you—can build a time of intimacy and togetherness.
