“Only upon awakening do you realize that you have been asleep.”
When the sleeper awakens, he is still under the spell of his unconsciousness, and the wheel of bondage continues to turn for some time. There is a struggle between wakefulness and sleep, between day and night, between life and death. Awakening becomes an existential challenge.
But ultimately, man will rise from his open cage of death, for he can no longer walk the path of yesterday’s wounds. The spiritual sun rises, an eternal day dawns, a new age begins, in which humanity recognizes and experiences itself in its true reality and identity. In devotion to divine love, it becomes a self-aware child of God.
I experience this in the light of the rising sun. In it I write the awakening words of the day, knowing that awakening means dying. Those who awaken die to sleep. Without the dying of the night, there is no birth of the day.

The winter seed is sown in autumn, then it hibernates in the cold ground so that it can begin to germinate in the warming rays of the sun in spring and finally emerge as a plant that enriches the world. So it is with the words that Jesus Christ planted in the soul of the earth 2000 years ago. Now the cold winter is over, and the spiritual sun awakens the enclosed life of God, which proclaims love, truth, and the return of Jesus Christ. Just as all earthly natural life awakens in the warmth and light of the natural sun’s rays and we see diverse blossoming everywhere, so the spiritual sun bestows a colorful and enjoyable variety of spiritual growth. Like flowers that delight the observer with their splendor of colors and forms, the most diverse thoughts of God’s love sprout in the garden of the soul. Corresponding to the delicious fruits of nature, the tree of life offers spiritual fruits whose nourishment satisfies the heart’s longing for divine vitality. But there are also weeds that, self-absorbed and ruthless, overgrow everything true and good with falsehood and malice. And there are the fruits of poisonous plants, sprouted from the seeds of Satan, which carry death within them.
In the rays of love’s light, the spiritual awakening of spring will continue to progress rapidly, as the material equivalents give us each year. In addition, spiritual fruits never seen before will now and soon come to light, helping those who hunger and thirst for heavenly nourishment to attain unimagined knowledge. But only those who open their eyes will see and enjoy these fruits. Those who keep their eyes closed will starve or consume poisonous food and will not live to see the day of salvation.

How does one awaken? First, one must admit to oneself that one is asleep. With this insight, one asks the heavenly Father to awaken one from the sleep of death—with the confidence that it can happen. Then one must constantly focus one’s gaze on God’s love and bring one’s heart to prayer. You must not slacken in this, for awakening is a process, and you need not be ashamed if you often fall back into your old dream life. For those things you cannot let go of, those things that seem like insurmountable obstacles, you must implore the Father’s help earnestly and persistently in order to be set free. In this way, you can die well in order to awaken.
But without the heartfelt love of Jesus Christ, it is not possible. And if you find this difficult, you must ask for it again and again. The Father fulfills every sincere wish for love, even if he sometimes makes his child wait a little to test his faithfulness and sincerity.
Then the final awakening takes place: when the child is allowed to look deeply into God’s love, when it experiences the Father’s infinite patience, when it feels how much he also desires the salvation and liberation of his child, it is transformed from a spiritually blind dreamer into a seeing God-man.

The dirt of the soul
Looking at window panes at night, it is impossible to tell whether they are dirty and how dirty they are. Even in dim light, you cannot see much dirt on the panes. But when it gets light and the sun shines through the panes, you can really see the dirt. Every smear, every speck of dust becomes visible—it is not a pretty sight.
Our souls are like window panes. In the night of unbelief, we cannot see the dirt on our souls. But when it gets light, every impurity becomes visible. This is not easy for the awakening person, who is initially exposed to all his sinful behavior. This true self-knowledge humbles him and causes him to kneel before God to ask for His help so that purification can take place.
Father and child now begin to cleanse the soul together. They clean and polish day and night, and their inner being shines ever more brightly and lovingly, until finally the sunlight illuminates all rooms, pure and clear. Then the Father himself takes up residence in his child’s house, causing it to shine with heavenly splendor— and itself becoming the sun that illuminates and brightens the soul houses of the surrounding area.

Sunrise
In a world of spiritual darkness, only the intellect shines with its false light in the soul’s firmament. Humanity considers this shadowy existence to be the only possible basis for existence. It lives in the belief that only night (the intellect) exists and denies the day (the spirit of God).
The symbol of worldly intellect is the cold moon, which with its borrowed light can illuminate the earthly darkness somewhat, in which, at best, shadowy outlines can be recognized.
But what is night compared to day? What is the cold, dead moonlight compared to the warming rays of the life-giving sun? The sun, symbol of divine love and wisdom. When the sun of truth appears on the horizon, when day dispels night and the moon fades, many will close their eyes, turn away, and continue to sleep in order to continue serving their death. They will flee into the abyss of their delusions, where they can
continue to revel in their meaningless dreams, far from any divine truth and vitality. This is the world they have created for themselves and which they love above all else.
When a person awakens, the spiritual sunrise becomes a source of joy and bliss. They realize that the warmth of the sun and the warmth of their heart spring from one source. They become aware that the light of the new eternal day and the light of their heart are essentially one and the same, for the universally rising spiritual sun is also found in their heart, giving them life.

Only upon awakening does one see how dark it actually was in the sleep of the soul; one simply did not perceive it. Spiritual death was concealed in all the earthly distractions and pleasures, or rather, it was not recognized as such, since one already considered godless intellectual activity to be daylight. Certainly, temporal experiences bring us satisfaction and happiness. But in the world of appearances and transience, even joy is subject to polarity; it already carries within it the suffering of death and grief. Everything that the earth gives, it takes back again. That is the price we pay during our stay at the earthly boarding school. There is no earthly happy ending.
However, there is a way out of the valley of tears. On this path, our debts have already been paid. His name is Jesus Christ. Together with him, we rise out of the swamp of earthly satisfaction-seeking and find happiness and joy in the love of true spiritual life. The beauty of it is that now our worldly experiences are also free, for we accomplish them at the hand of our heavenly Father.
Only now is life as we have always wanted it to be: free from fear and worry, filled with light and love. This is true bliss, this is the happy ending in the sunlight of eternal love.

Truth is a sun. It is the source of all life, it is boundless creative power and creativity – and thus the foundation of all existence. This sun sends its rays in all directions of the universe, it forms the bridge to freedom that every human being can cross by virtue of their love.
At the beginning of one’s life of faith, one sees the sun only from afar, but in this vision one is already standing on its ray; the first step has been taken. The further one progresses, the brighter it becomes in the heart, the clearer and more openly truth can be recognized and grasped . It becomes apparent that this sun is the purest and all-pervading love – and that God, love, and truth are basically inseparable. When you reach the sun, real life begins. Full of joy, the Father takes his child in his arms and presses it to his breast. And for all eternity, it will be able to draw from this love, divine life will open up to it, it will penetrate ever deeper into the spiritual sun, into the sun of eternal love.
