Meeting of April 12, 2008, in Würzburg
Divine Revelation
The Spirit of the Father greets you, speaking to you from the light of heaven. I, the Father of the great family of My children, speak openly to you who are on this side and also to you who are beyond the veil. My love enfolds you; My radiant light lifts your consciousness so that your heart may receive and understand the meaning of the words I address to you.
Oh, see, many of My children are entangled in a tangle of trivialities and allow themselves to be beguiled by ever more meaningless things to which they continually devote themselves and in which they take pleasure.
So many among My children imagine themselves clever and refined, and yet they are eaten away by vanity, arrogance, and pride. Where will they find themselves? I tell you: they are like those who, abandoned and without direction, make their way through the desolation of the desert beneath the scorching sun. And the hour will come when they become aware of this miserable condition.
Among them are also many who believe that, because of the material possibilities their earthly life affords them, they can in a sense buy enlightenment and spiritual progress. They turn to all kinds of personalities from whom they expect to gain ascent through measures of one kind or another.
But hear this: the spiritually unawakened person will never succeed in this, for limits are set to him that can never be overcome even by your most sophisticated spiritual techniques. Or would I be a just Father in the eyes of My children if My law allowed some favored person to attain spiritual perfection or climb step by step to a higher spiritual level without having taken up the cross and won the victory through works of love and humility? The answer to this question, My beloved, I place within you.
I tell you: turn your senses inward and pray to Me as I have taught you and continue to teach you, and trust in Me. Consider wisely that realization, insight, and reflection, followed by turning back, transformation, and renewal, are indispensable on the way back into your Father’s arms.
Do not strive to perform bold deeds that appear great in the eyes of your brothers and sisters. I tell you: it is the small, inconspicuous yet loving actions, and the efforts made in the spirit of your Father’s love, that bring what is good, true, and beautiful into this world and among My own. And then, truly, I tell you: even if the storms that will come perhaps rage around your house and try to make it sway, not a hair of your head will be harmed, nor will the light of your lamps go out.
My beloved, you who have already recognized Me and chosen Me as the center of your life, bear witness to your brothers and sisters who still languish and seek, who hunger and thirst for Me, for My love, justice, and truth, for My gentleness, grace, and mercy. I give you everything you need for this. I encourage you again and again to bring to awareness who you are: sons and daughters of the Godhead, who has placed His perfect inheritance in each one of you so that what is to become, and will become, may come to pass: unity among My own.
I love you; be aware of this. Amen.
Divine Revelation
Truly, My beloved sons and daughters, My love is infinitely great toward you and therefore toward all My children. My longing for you is just as great, and I want to draw you all back to My heart, to the place that has been yours from eternity and will be yours for all eternity.
You know that My love includes My justice, and therefore you also know that nothing that happens in the world, anywhere or at any time, is subject to so-called chance. Whenever circumstances prevail in a person’s surroundings that need to change, they always have something to do with that person.
From My earnestness I spoke of the necessity of turning back. And this necessity is grounded in My mercy, in My desire that everything find its way back to the Source of life. In My last revelation in this circle I said that nothing better can happen to you than the circumstances of life in which you presently find yourself. Even though I speak here in the singular, I do not mean one individual child personally; I am speaking of the principle. Questions then arose in more than one person, for example: “How can the conditions of my life, of the society in which I live, be the best thing that could happen to me, when it is obvious that much—in great things and small—is wrong?”
Many of My children who think this way have not yet fully recognized Me as love in the depths of their hearts. For trust is grounded in love; and how could I, who possess almighty power, disappoint even one child by exposing it to a destiny that has nothing to do with it?
The law of cause and effect is embedded within My great law of love, and sooner or later it brings each person—indeed whole societies and peoples—to reconsider their conduct, in order finally to find the turning back that marks the turning point. All other efforts to change a present condition and shape it for the better must fail if they are not accompanied by the realization that there is a reason why these conditions prevail. Whoever rebels against them, seeks solutions outwardly, and perhaps believes he can find ways out without realization and inner change, lives according to his own law—and yet remains embedded within My greater law of love.
I will give you an example: a child sits in his room and has to do schoolwork because his performance at school is not the best, and he rebels against it. Instead of thinking about the reasons for the schoolwork his parents have assigned him, he has only one goal: to escape these circumstances, which from his point of view are coercive. He opens the window, jumps out, and imagines himself free because he is now running to his friends to play with them.
How long, do you think, does such freedom last? This child is embedded in his own law, for a few hours later, at the latest the next morning at school, comes the rude awakening, and the circumstances against which he rebelled may become worse.
Does one or another of you recognize yourself in this image? To a greater or lesser degree all of you acted this way in the past, until you came to the realization: God, my Father, is love. And if I am placed in a situation with which I am dissatisfied, which burdens me, which causes me fears or worries, then this situation wants to tell me something. And then you went inward, found where the causes lay, and came to Me with this realization—in the knowledge and deep trust that I, love, will help you.
In this sense what your brother prayed was right: it is unnecessary to ask Me for something when what is sought and desired is borne by the spirit of love and therefore lies within My will. For these are precisely the actions I desire.
Recognize, then, that the circumstances of life against which you still often rebel are meant to shed light on some aspect of your life, perhaps to bring about important decisions, but in every case to bring about changes. Perhaps you do not know what these changes will look like or what their effects will be.
Then, My beloved, your love for Me and your trust are called for. For how could I, as your Father, ever set in motion a process that does not change you toward what is good and toward freedom! The only question is: Is your desire to surrender yourselves to Me great enough for you to make such a decision? If your desire is not yet that strong, come to Me nonetheless and ask Me to strengthen you in your surrender. In this way you give Me the authority to set the switches in your life without your knowing in what new direction the train of your life will travel.
That, My beloved sons and daughters, is true surrender. And that the train will then travel into the light, at the end of which I await you, is surely not a question for you.
Now you understand that My love governs everything, even and especially the circumstances of life that—to put it casually—you do not like. I want to move you to turn back, for I long for you because I love you. Amen.
