Divine Revelation
My beloved sons and daughters, I will preface My revealed word today with something fundamental that can open your eyes so that you can better assess and understand yourselves and also others—the latter, however, without succumbing to the temptation to devalue or condemn.
Every human being lives at the stage of spiritual and soul development that is his own, that is, appropriate to him, which however was not determined for him by Me but is the result of his earlier lives and his present incarnation. He therefore has an entirely individual consciousness like no other, and he lives precisely in or under the circumstances corresponding to this, his consciousness.
You cannot exchange your consciousness. If you want to act differently, you must first develop a different consciousness, through your own decisions, for you have free will. If you want to advance and mature in your soul, I will be the One who fosters and accompanies your development.
The law of spiritual attraction ensures that this principle functions flawlessly.

All suffering, calamity, and misfortune, all worries, distress, and grief have their cause in the fact that the way of love was left. In saying this I tell you nothing new. Yet because there is a difference between merely hearing something and knowing it, and applying this realization to your own conduct and thus to the things that determine your life, I want to lead you a little deeper into My wisdom and truth.
But I not only show you the background; because as My children you have a right to enlightenment and understanding, I also point out the way that leads out of every dilemma into which you have fallen through ignorance, false instruction, and conduct contrary to the law of selfless love. I also offer you the solution and remind you that I, as the strongest power of creation, live within everyone and, if he wishes, accompany and support him on his way into freedom.
Today I will deepen the subject of “feelings of guilt,” which burdens and makes many of My children ill and is closely connected with the “fears” stirred up by satanic forces, whose negative energies surround your globe like a dark, almost impenetrable cloud. Whoever is afraid is easy to guide, influence, and manipulate. From the fact that I do nothing of the kind, you should really already recognize that someone is at work here who works against Me.
And for this in turn—your logic of the heart must tell you this—there can be only one reason: to alienate you from Me! For two thousand years this has happened with increased intensity by means of an image of Me that was painted, and is still painted by many of your scholars and learned interpreters of Scripture, that has not the remotest thing to do with My goodness and mercy and My all-forgiving love.
One of the most subtle moves of evil consisted in painting a completely false and distorted picture of itself as the “devil,” or even convincing you that he does not exist at all. Ridiculing caricatures depicting a being with horns, tail, and trident, as well as other drawings and descriptions that cannot be taken seriously, have caused belief in the real existence of evil to fade. Many people have fallen into the trap of these false teachings. This was helped by the fact that, because of a lack of enlightenment, you adopted ideas from a time far removed from every reasonable insight. In the technical field you have made progress; in the spiritual field humanity is in the Stone Age.
You can read the result of this maneuver in the condition of your world; whoever is a little more courageous and honestly considers his own life finds enough evidence there too of the indirect working of the forces of darkness, of which he knew nothing or to which he did not give the necessary attention.
I remind you of the image I have used several times of the siege of a castle. You are the castle; the besiegers are those who want to enter and harm you, for they need your energy. Their entry cannot be prevented completely, because you live in matter, the sphere of rule of darkness; and all of you still carry more or fewer weaknesses and correspondences within you that resemble unguarded windows and doors in your castle. But with My help, with the power of My love within you, you can defend yourselves and drive the attackers back. This will not be necessary only once but again and again, while your power of defense increases the more often you emerge victorious from a confrontation—even the smallest skirmish.
This does presuppose, however, that you know your loopholes and are watchful enough to recognize an attack or temptation—or, more clearly still, that you know at all that someone is there who wants something from you. Otherwise you are largely without protection.
Apply this image to your life. And if you are open and willing to learn a little more about yourselves, you will discover that you have already been besieged very often without noticing it; without even knowing about the reality of a spiritual siege. And that for this reason you took part—had to take part—in a “game” in which you would not have participated had you been aware of the connections and possible consequences. Likewise, you would have refused to take part if, with spiritual eyes already opened, you had recognized the satanic forces harming you, which by no means consist only of impersonal fields of energy but very often stand before you as personified beings.
Not knowing that evil is present at any time, and how it works, is its greatest trump card!

Yet the realization of your still-existing faults must not tempt you to withdraw like a “snail into its shell.” For the fact that you have fallen is no reason to remain lying down—which, admittedly, would suit your adversary very well. After all, he approached you in order to make you feel, consciously or unconsciously, that you are not worthy of being loved by Me. And with a bad conscience, often enough connected with fear and, as a consequence, frequently with rebellion against Me or turning away from Me, the trap he set has snapped shut.
But, My beloved, this is no reason for despair or for giving up your effort. Being imprisoned can indeed be painful, pull you down, and hinder your development, but it lasts only for a certain time. And—this is the truly good news for all who have been seduced into such thinking and want to leave their prison—there is an absolutely certain way to rid yourselves of this bondage and become again a radiant and powerful son, a warm-hearted and blossoming daughter of My love. How quickly such liberation can take place lies in your decision.
With the tactic of producing paralyzing feelings of guilt, the adversary plays his second-greatest trump card, which he uses deliberately to oppose My children’s striving for freedom. For otherwise he has little to set against My teaching of love. Again and again he has watered the seed he planted since My activity on earth so that it may bring the greatest possible success. It sprouted and still sprouts whenever and wherever, in the consciousness of guilt—but also of supposed guilt—you no longer dare to come to Me full of trust and with an open heart.
In this respect, producing feelings of guilt has almost the same effect as his trumpeting that there is no God. For whether you avoid Me or do not believe in Me: both amount to your not going through life with Me, and therefore My not being able to guide you as I desire for you and as would be good for you.
In such a case, it seems to him, he has won. That may even be true for the moment, but with a view to the goal toward which you strive, you have merely made a small or perhaps larger detour; this need not have been so, but it lies within your free will. The seduction did not take you away from the goal. That is not possible at all. But your wrong conduct, your false thinking can make your life difficult; it can reach from earlier times into the present incarnation, and it can burden you in further lives.
The image conveyed to you of Me, your divine primal Source, is based in many respects on ideas that determined human life far back in time. People were completely occupied with securing their survival by satisfying their basic needs. Their consciousness did not extend to more than that. It took some time before they began to think about who or what determined their outward living conditions, which were shaped by natural disasters, inexplicable blows of fate, accidents, illnesses, and much more. In their ignorance they attributed all this to supernatural powers; they created for themselves a world of gods. Their pseudo-gods and pseudo-goddesses—for they were nothing else—they endowed with human qualities, with good and evil characters such as human beings themselves possessed.
There, alongside positive traits, one also found such things as anger, vindictiveness, relentlessness, punishment, and unforgivingness. In order as far as possible to avoid future calamity, one had to keep on good terms with the gods through sacrifices, submission, or worship, but in every case through absolute obedience. Devout conduct and observance of the rules established by the priestly caste did, according to their understanding of faith, minimize the risk of being found guilty and punished by the pseudo-gods. Yet it still did not remove feelings of guilt and fears, which because of a bad conscience always lurked somewhere in the background, since people often enough nevertheless believed that they had not been sufficiently compliant and ready to sacrifice toward the gods or had otherwise behaved wrongly. For misfortune and calamities continued to occur.
A God as the highest authority of visible and invisible creation, embodying all-understanding and all-forgiving love, was unknown.
Then I decided to come into the world Myself, after My incarnation had been announced over centuries and prepared by My faithful ones. I corrected the false image of God, to whom a harshness had been attributed that was far removed from every justice and reality; and even farther from My eternally true nature, which is selfless and unconditional love!
With that a new teaching, My teaching of love, was in the world. Do you believe darkness watched idly as a new way of thinking spread that threatened its activity? Take note: its activity, not its existence itself, even if it sees it differently! For I repeat Myself and will continue doing so until unity is restored: the beings of darkness too are My beloved sons and daughters, whom I will bring back to Me. For there is their true, eternal home.

Because I am love, which simply cannot do otherwise than forgive, the question of whether I instill feelings of guilt or bear grudges should really not arise at all. That it nevertheless does arise—and among countless people who are bound into a church or religious community with a corresponding teaching of faith—shows the devastating extent of the seduction.
Whoever considers it possible, or even teaches it as a fixed part of faith, that I am unforgiving toward My children who do not convert in time, that is, before their transition into subtle worlds; and whoever further says that I punish even a single one of My creatures for its “unfaithfulness,” under certain circumstances even with eternal damnation, has a consciousness that has become very, very restricted.
He is no longer able to perceive Me from within himself as goodness and mercy and to speak of Me as an authority who, without any ifs or buts, is purest love. And if he nevertheless does so, his words are hollow because they are not shaped by experience with Me. That is why he does not reach people, and a profound different way of thinking, with resulting decisions and steps in a new direction, fails to appear. Feelings of guilt that paralyze, burden, and make ill are not seldom the consequence. The person so affected sees and finds no way out.
But the fact that I am love does not at the same time mean that a human being cannot become guilty. The only question is what you associate with the term “guilt.”
Because of the falsely transmitted image of God, human beings attributed to Me the same and similar qualities they themselves carry within. As Jesus of Nazareth I spoke of the “Father,” which however was not and is not to be understood as meaning that “an old man with a beard now sits on a throne.” I used the image of the Father to correct the prevailing idea of a stern God who, according to the belief of the time, issues prohibitions and insists on the rigorous, letter-for-letter fulfillment of His laws, whose observance He monitors from His judgment seat.
In reality I am much more; I am also much more than merely the “Father”: I am everything! I am! Whoever can grasp it, let him grasp it.
As Creator I established laws. Whoever is bothered by the term “laws” because he feels restricted by it may perhaps be more comfortable with “guidelines.” Without a principle of order, whatever name it bears, everything would long ago have sunk into chaos. But by observing My laws of creation, My power of love, which constitutes his life, flows to everyone without limit and lets him grow and flourish for all eternity. For I, My creation, and everything living within it are infinite.
If the laws are not observed, the inflow of My love-life-force diminishes. But this does not happen because I personally—to use your vocabulary now—am upset, offended, resentful, hurt, insulted, angry, indignant, or furious:
It occurs because of My immutable laws.
It is not brought about by Me personally.
It is not a punitive measure on My part.
It changes absolutely nothing about My love for you.
But it ensures that you come to realize your wrong conduct.
It thereby fulfills its purpose of leading you back onto the way of love.
If you reject this consequence becoming effective on and within you, then you would also have to reject My love flowing to you in increased measure when you are near Me and live in My law of love. That would be an honest conclusion according to the logic of the heart. Where and what would you then be?
I will give you an image: If, in road traffic, you disregard a traffic light showing “red,” you violate a law. If a fine notice perhaps follows, you may be annoyed about it, but you will not quarrel personally with the lawgiver—the minister—who enacted such a law for the safety of all road users.
Why, then, do you quarrel with Me when it was not I but you who violated a commandment of My love? And when I am not responsible for the effect of a cause that you yourself set, but what comes upon you is that for which you yourself were the trigger? Every being that enters the earth is subject to the law of cause and effect. Without exception. This applied to Me as Jesus of Nazareth as well.
So if I am not “upset, offended, resentful …,” there is no reason to feel guilty toward Me. For I did not pronounce you guilty. On the contrary: I love you. You yourself are the one who, because of a false way of thinking, loaded and burdened yourself with feelings of guilt. More precisely: who allowed yourself to be loaded and burdened.
Once your fine for disregarding the red light has been paid, the matter is settled. No official or clerk will bear a grudge and continue to pronounce you guilty when the account has been balanced again.
Should I do something like that? Does that fit the image you have of a loving Father?
In your Scriptures it is written that when Peter asked Me, “Lord, how often shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Seven times?” I answered: “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy times seven.” This was of course meant figuratively and expressed that there is no upper limit to the number of times one forgives. Should I, who taught such a thing and still teach it today, act differently? Can I expect from a son or daughter more than what I Myself am ready to do?
Use your intellect, My beloved.

What does it mean, then, that “the account has been balanced again”? When someone acts against the commandment of love, one side of the scale drops—to a lesser or greater degree, depending on the nature of the contrary action. Something has fallen out of balance; harmony has been disturbed. One may certainly speak of “guilt,” especially when it is a lasting or serious transgression of the commandment of love. To act as though nothing had happened would amount to injustice, especially when others are affected as well.
How does a “soul account” become balanced again? In the realization that one has acted wrongly already lies half the solution. The other half still missing is called remorse, asking for forgiveness, and making amends, insofar as necessary and possible.
And then? Then you are free, My child! Then from My side there is absolutely nothing left that could in any way be regarded as guilt. Only you yourself can delay or prevent this process of liberation, which I so gladly want to undertake together with you. I know that your soul longs for light and openness and life. But I also know how strongly negative forces try to prevent this becoming-free. For a child that becomes conscious of My love, but also of the powers and possibilities lying within himself, withdraws from the influence of darkness.
That is why it does everything possible, through a false image of God, to cause human beings, as far as their spiritual development is concerned, figuratively speaking to tread water. Whoever burdens himself too long with feelings of guilt instead of coming with them to Me, speaking with Me, and asking Me for help, becomes inwardly rigid. A bad conscience that is manipulated with the intention of gagging the other always produces fears. But with feelings of helplessness and with fear at his neck that an unmerciful God awaits him with a judgment of punishment, it will be difficult to impossible for him to look positively ahead, much less to go forward. Energies that want to hold him have him firmly in their grip.
Feelings of guilt triggered and intensified in this way are accompanied by physical and psychological complaints. This is no wonder, for inner feelings and thoughts act upon your bodies to a far greater degree than your science and you yourselves assume. If illnesses then occur, another satanic trap is set: namely, to make Me responsible for them, and especially when the human being apparently makes such a great effort to lay his requests and wishes for recovery before Me in prayer.
What would it benefit a human being’s soul if I merely freed the human being from his physical illness while the cause of it, lying in his attitude toward Me, still remained? That is roughly as though you picked up a repaired car from the workshop but continued driving with too little oil. The next defect is preprogrammed.
That, My beloved sons and daughters, is not the royal road.
The royal road consists first and foremost in correcting your false image of Me, within yourselves and independently of what other people—even if they seem ever so learned—tell you. I am love that forgives immediately! I wrap you wholly and completely in My love in the very moment when you come to Me with an honest heart!
Go within, close your eyes, speak with Me. Do not search for beautifully formulated words; simply pour out your heart to Me. Immerse yourself in the feeling of infinite security. Let go of everything burdensome in the knowledge that guilt before Me dissolves when the realization of wrong conduct has broken through and forgiveness is asked.
I have no waiting periods. What burdened you in the past through ignorance of the truth I can take from you now—if you come to My heart.
Now, in this moment.
Remorse is something wonderful, even if you cannot immediately understand that. Unlike paralyzing feelings of guilt, remorse already carries within itself the power that gives you courage and the feeling that things are now moving upward again. It is, so to speak, the fuel for your engine, which stuttered for a while but has now come to its senses and is ready to move you again. I accompany you in this process with loving care and protection.
When you have made your decision and taken this step, you already feel relief. I have taken something from your soul because you recognized wrong conduct and asked Me for help. What was previously dark I have transformed.
This does not mean that work may not still remain. It depends on what the wrong conduct caused in your surroundings or to other people. But if your request for liberation is honest, then from the heart you yourself will want to do everything possible to make something good again wherever this is necessary. With that another step into your freedom has been taken.
This includes asking forgiveness from those whom one has offended, hurt, or harmed. The harm need not have been material. Furthermore, it includes forgiving those who became guilty toward you. If you feel deeply within yourselves, in many a case you will discover that you allowed yourselves to be bound; that you gave the other person or persons—and also and above all your invisible tempters—power over you because you did not know or did not heed the wisdom of the words “The strength of the other always mirrors my own weakness.”
And finally: forgive yourselves as well.
When you have freed yourselves from the grip of your false feelings of guilt, then proclaim My love by giving others courage to take the same path. But do not proselytize! Proclaim My love through the joy you radiate and through your lived trust in Me, to whom you have found your way back again.
It will now be easier for you to understand more clearly the words spoken at the beginning, which I repeat because of their importance:
