Divine Revelation

My beloved sons and daughters, like a finely woven web, an invisible dome consisting of false teachings, half-truths, false convictions, and cleverly distorted guidance has settled over a large part of humanity and thus prevents an expansion of its consciousness. And not only that. If possible, the suppression of the truth that I am love, and that everything, because it is from Me, is likewise love, was not to be noticed, and the pseudo-teachings of truth and pseudo-wisdom for life offered in its place were not to be recognized for what they were and still are: misleading.

Thus the way back to My heart, back to your eternal home, was—and in your time increasingly is—often made difficult and blocked by demands that people follow a false faith and by the offer of dazzling promises. And not infrequently the continuous development of your soul was thereby prevented for a long time. Whereas over many centuries in the past this was accomplished through threats, intimidation, and not infrequently violence, the methods of darkness have become more sophisticated, for it continually adapts its approach to circumstances. I have given you many warnings that you cannot be vigilant enough.

The overwhelming majority of people still regard the necessity of believing in Me—provided they consider the existence of God at all—as the decisive criterion for doing justice to the relationship between Me and My creatures. And this applies not only to those who belong to one of your many Christian churches; it also applies to the other ideologies and worldviews that, in ignorance of true religiousness, you colloquially call “religions.”

In order to make the importance of faith appear clearer, the founders and their successors added all kinds of invented accessories in the form of teachings supposedly necessary for salvation, whose origin I am said to be. And in order to make everything attractive, all manner of distractions were created and ceremonies and trappings introduced; a framework was built around it that people could hold on to outwardly and whose practice promised a certain security in fulfilling the commandments. Judaism too—but not only Judaism—knew many such prerequisites that supposedly had to be fulfilled in order to be pleasing to Me.

In order to show you the only true way that leads you back to your eternal home, I came into the world—and brought love! In teaching and in deed!

During the past two thousand years, through men and women faithful to Me, I reminded people again and again that love is what matters. I did this through My word of revelation, and I will continue to do so until even the last of My children has recognized that only the path of love lived out ennobles the human being and raises him step by step to ever higher levels of development and consciousness: love—and nothing else!

Belief that I exist can therefore be no more than a prerequisite for coming nearer and nearer to Me through a life in the spirit of love for God and neighbor, which means: through an effort toward love that engages your whole human being and challenges you again and again. Whoever calls himself a Christian thereby expresses that he strives to fulfill My commandments, that is, to follow Me. In doing so he sets out on a demanding path that cannot be compared “with a Sunday stroll on which you meet only nice people whom you greet in a friendly way,” as I once put it.

If you wish, look at yourselves and your lives in this light and rejoice if you find that this too is what you want and what you are working toward. This can also help you gain better insight into those in your world who, as small or great leaders in the most varied fields, occasionally or continually invoke My name. But do this solely in order to learn to look more deeply and to recognize more clearly—and not, never, for condemnation! It is important that you learn to see, but it violates My law when you condemn.

And now I ask you to use your reason: Is it possible to believe in someone, acknowledge him as the highest and greatest, wish to be with him after physical death, without doing, striving for, or putting into practice what the one to whom you wish to go taught and lived before you? For that, after all, is the meaning of being a Christian, “the whole point of the exercise,” as you would say.

Is it possible to enter into following Me merely through a mental orientation consisting of: I believe? Whatever you have been taught, whatever you have accepted without reflection: more is required! More is also required than relying on My grace because, in ignorance of My redeeming power that I have placed within every human being, one has never set about recognizing and overcoming one’s faults and weaknesses.

Membership in a church, observance of regulations, and memorizing religious texts are not enough either. Singing beautiful songs, listening to a good sermon, and reading encouraging passages from the Bible can certainly be uplifting, but they can never replace what alone is decisive.

What matters is written in your Scripture: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love.”

*

The words “I am who I am!”—or, even more briefly, “I am!”—express everything for the one who wants to recognize and understand Me, provided he is ready to feel his way into the absoluteness of these words. I am eternal and unchanging. My laws are timeless, which means: They have applied from the beginning of My creation and will not lose their validity even when material creation has dissolved again and everything has been brought back into the unity of the heavens.

Infinity and everlasting constancy are in Me. No creature ever needs to worry or become uncertain whether its conduct, when it is aligned with My love, might one day be judged anew and therefore differently than in the past. You can rely on Me. Down to the smallest detail—so small that you cannot imagine it—My creation resembles a perfectly functioning clockwork. Everything has its place, everything knows its task, everything is in constant communication with everything else, everything is of the highest precision.

In My system of creation there is no room for a new evaluation, for a different perspective from the one that has always and exclusively been oriented toward My selfless and unconditional love. I do not deviate one iota from My law; there is no need to do so because what I have created and continue to create throughout eternity is perfect. Even the slightest deviation, even the smallest correction, would instantly produce chaos—and that would be the end.

Nevertheless creation continues to develop without interruption, and every being of the purely spiritual heavens contributes its part. But this is evolution anchored in My law; it is not an improvement made necessary by errors, as must constantly be done with your systems.1)

This means: My truth is not subject to what you call the “spirit of the age.” With that expression you merely reveal your ignorance, because you believe you have recognized as false, obsolete, and defective something that must be adapted to new, modern, progressive thinking.

I am the source of eternally valid truth; the father of the spirit of the age is My adversary and yours! If, then, I am the source of love, everything that does not orient itself toward this source must come from another source.

The representatives of darkness know this as well. Therefore it had to be in their interest gradually to cloud the water of the pure source, and to do so so imperceptibly that it was not noticed. To accomplish this they had to dim human consciousness so that the capacity for discernment was restricted. Like a fine web, a dome gradually settled over people in the course of the centuries—increasingly so during the last decades—which the adversary succeeded in doing ever more effectively by using the modern achievements of your time with consummate skill.

New ideas came into the world, new values became socially acceptable and replaced older ways of thinking. Whoever still tries to orient himself by what has been handed down is, at best, smiled at; at worst he must reckon with disadvantages of various kinds. Thus false views gradually become normality, and whoever has not built up or preserved an inner closeness to Me falls into the trap.

Whoever strives to live My teaching of love, to recognize My laws and respect them, is a thorn in the side of the spirit of the age. The introduction of new ideas and ways of thinking was not limited to presenting love for God and neighbor, including the Sermon on the Mount, as outdated, unrealistic, and unsuitable for everyday life; rather, every area of life was infiltrated with false, seemingly logical, intellectual justifications.

Whoever takes the time and has the courage should look at himself in a quiet hour, but should also look at the world. Has the sphere of order, which forms the foundation of every system, been spared satanic infiltration? Or has darkness not found points of entry precisely here, especially when you consider the sharply increasing unwillingness to bear consequences and the tendency to avoid responsibility? Does “Your will be done,” as millions of Christians pray every day in every “Our Father,” truly stand at the forefront of the way you conduct your lives? Do you still trust Me to guide you through your life without harm to your soul—and, insofar as possible, also to your body—even when this perhaps does not correspond to your ideas? Or do you prefer to fall back on your own will?

Do you draw your wisdom from within? Is your “wisdom” not often instead knowledge acquired through reading, because wisdom cannot be learned but develops within you to the extent that you live love? What value does earnestness still have for you, the earnestness that requires pausing and looking within? That places higher demands upon you than the many entertaining distractions the spirit of the age offers you, which come with the promise of an apparently comfortable ease?

Is patience still something for you that should be preserved or learned? Has impatience not meanwhile become far more attractive, especially in your time when one can obtain everything—and immediately? Has it not become a little old-fashioned to trust that I give you what you need at the right time, because My time is not your time? Does the character quality of mercy still have a place at all in people’s thinking? Or has mercy become an expression of weakness and false indulgence in an age when one is supposed to show assertiveness and, when necessary, hardness in order to meet the demands of the spirit of the age?

These few thoughts alone can show you: Whoever does not rest firmly in Me, whoever does not have his heart with Me, runs a great danger of falling into the traps of the spirit of the age, especially when, for lack of inner development and insight of his own, he has little to set against specious arguments. For the traps are set so skillfully that you must be very attentive to recognize them; especially because no one directly calls upon you to disregard the commandment of love. That would be too simple, too transparent.

It is far more effective to present a new way of thinking in such a manner that it is not recognized as contrary to law, and at the same time to package it so that—because awareness of the true meaning of My eternal truth is almost completely absent—it can be integrated without difficulty into a Christianity directed outward and lived in outward forms.

*

The opposing side has understood how to play skillfully with people’s fears, egoism, and the desires arising from them, and in this way to move people to forget fundamental principles of My teaching of love or reinterpret them so that many regard them as correct or even necessary for survival. Today you do have international law, you fight for human rights, and you recognize when they are violated; yet you scarcely recognize the violations of My commandment of love that take place throughout the world every day. Even where such recognition exists in individual cases: Who has the moral legitimacy, on the basis of his own example, to point out such wrongdoing?

Because My teaching of love includes service and even serving your neighbor and for your neighbor, it cannot be within My law to place oneself, one’s family, or one’s nation first. The logic of the heart must tell you this—at least those of you who have practiced it a little. But if it is not within My law, then it is against My law, even if one or another does not like this absoluteness.

This statement contains no condemnation, only the recognition: It is so. No more and no less! Certainly My love and mercy are at work in everything, but that does not mean My law contains a neutral zone or gray area into which conduct can be classified because it cannot bear clear language, or because the conclusions resulting from it seem too harsh or unmerciful. Love and mercy ensure that there is a wide range of My helping hands and support, all the way to complete forgiveness of guilt.

A decision for one’s own welfare, when it appears more important than the welfare of one’s neighbor, can bring advantages only on the surface. In principle, a decision for something is always also a decision against something. This is often not considered, is passed over too hastily, or is consciously ignored. If it is a decision for what is good, for love, it is at the same time a decision against what is evil and selfish. And conversely. You will find enough examples.

This principle applies to your politics, to your life together, to your church and social life, just as it applies to every moment of your personal life. If a situation has arisen in which it seems right to ignore the law of love for one’s neighbor for reasons of personal advantage—because everything else appears not to offer an acceptable solution—then something seriously wrong preceded it.

Nothing happens without a cause, nothing simply comes into the world, nothing comes upon you, a group, or a nation “out of the blue.” Nothing that carries within it the core of untruth or ignorance can be decided upon unless a campaign of the opposing forces has first been successfully launched and carried out so that the spirit of true love is no longer recognized.

Even if the law of sowing and reaping is not known or acknowledged, it nevertheless operates without interruption “in the background.” It works independently; nothing can impair its functioning, it is incorruptible and just. But it cancels or mitigates effects that are due as consequences of unlawful actions when the wrongdoing is recognized, regretted, made good, and no longer practiced.

Thus every moment, every situation, every event is always the last link in a chain that often contains countless links strung together like pearls on a cord. These laws were not and are not taught to you. My altered teaching no longer contains this fundamental knowledge. Thus it was and is possible for people, when trying to solve a difficult situation, to resort to the only means they know, one that the opposing forces have made attractive to them with a false logic inherent in it: “You have a right to live as you wish. Whoever stands in your way may be fought with the means available to you.”

This view is then followed by all those who do not know better or do not want to know better. They know no other way of solution, the way of insight and turning back. Or they do not want to take it. And so another heavy, misfortune-laden link is added to the many forged before it.

My teaching was and is different!

It is for each individual to consider and weigh to what extent he blindly entrusts his earthly and spiritual future to those who, through what they do, reveal that they are unfamiliar with My laws and who therefore resemble blind guides in a minefield. This freedom existed in early Christianity until darkness succeeded, through influence that was partly subtle and partly massive, in suppressing this striving for independent, responsible decision-making.

*

Only the one who honestly strives to follow My teaching as well as he can may call himself Christian with a sincere heart. This is not devaluation or condemnation when it is not yet the case; it is intended merely to help you become more sensitive and look more honestly—above all with regard to yourselves. My love for you, for every one of you, is not affected by your decision.

Whoever knows how he should have conducted himself but does not put this knowledge into practice can come to a point in his life where the realization dawns that he failed to heed something important. Sometimes it is then too late to make a change that sets a new direction and becomes comprehensively effective. Courage often sinks and despair spreads. But even that, My beloved sons and daughters, is no reason for resignation.

Even in the last minutes of your present life, the hand you extend to Me will be taken by Me. Even these final minutes can work wonders—not with regard to the past, but with regard to the far more important time of your eternal life that still lies before you. Even in this very last phase you decisively help determine how things will continue for you. You lay the seed for the future, and My promise stands that I help you transform or also bear what still burdens you. For I want you, and you, and you—all of you—to be with Me again soon.

My teaching of love can not only be described in simple words; it is simple! Its practice in your everyday life is often connected with difficulties, but that is not because of My teaching; it is because of your still limited ability to live toward everyone what My teaching contains. This in turn is connected with the fact that you scarcely know yourselves and the motives of your actions, and you also do not know the tools by which, with My help, you can change yourselves.

Thus for many years you remain with your old, ingrained habits, your practiced way of life, and the views you were taught, without seriously reflecting on whether this can truly be the path that frees you from worries and fears; that already here on earth gives you a more contented life than before; that prepares your life in the beyond; that lets you become the love of which I spoke as Jesus of Nazareth.

If you have recognized that faith and grace alone are not enough, you have taken a great step. Have the courage to take the next step as well, which says: I want to change; I want to accept the help that waits within me for me to turn toward it.

Then the fetters that until now have hindered you more or less strongly begin to loosen, often without your having noticed them. Despite all injustice, suffering, and misery, your time is a time of grace. For never before has more spiritual power flowed into your world from the pure heavens, opening your eyes on the one hand and, on the other, seeking to help you make decisions. You then begin to recognize the web of lies—however finely spun—for what it is: the satanic attempt to retain dominion over your earth and strengthen it further.

Then you say no to what you recognize as the “ideological spirit of the age.” Then, little by little, the bandages still lying over your eyes in many respects are removed. You begin to see in the right light what until now came disguised. This concerns both yourselves and those who pay homage to the spirit of the age, who appear in the garb of freedom and enlightenment; it also applies to those who invoke My name but do not place My commandment of love first among their intentions and actions.

My word was serious, appropriate to your time, yet borne by the whole of My love; a love that applies equally to all, whether they are against Me, whether I am indifferent to them, or whether they have placed themselves at My side. It is up to you, to each individual, what he does with and makes of My words; whether he decides to give true, inner Christianity greater meaning and space in his life than before, or not.

My blessing flows to you, strengthens you, and accompanies you through all the days of your present and eternal life. My blessing is like My love, without which there is no life.

Amen

1) This recalls the words of the Grand Inquisitor in Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov: “We have improved Your deed and built it upon miracle, mystery, and authority.”
