Divine Revelation
My sons and daughters, as Jesus of Nazareth I spoke to people in parables. For the wisdom and truths I planted in their hearts, I used images, which made it easier to understand My teaching. In this way My listeners—who at the same time were students without being aware of it—were better able to recognize themselves and their situation and to distinguish right behavior from wrong.
In the two thousand years that have passed since then, nothing has changed in the way My words are conveyed, even though I have deepened their content and adapted it to the consciousness of people at the particular time. I have never ceased speaking, even though I was made into a silent God and banished to unknown, distant heavens. My word from that time, that I would send you My Spirit who would guide you into all truth, can still be found in your Scripture. Your theologians and biblical scholars know very well how explosive this word is. That is why it was interpreted differently or not taken seriously and was conveyed to people who sought and seek the truth with a false interpretation.
But I cannot be silenced, for I am omnipotence!
When I “ascended”—what you call the Ascension—I indeed left outwardly behind those whose love for Me had been kindled and whose hearts burned, but I did not leave them alone. Early Christianity, as you often call it in retrospect, was in the first decades a movement carried by joy, courage, enthusiasm and, not least, love for Me. It was still very far removed from a hierarchical organization that later stiffened into externalities and regulations, commandments and prohibitions, struggles for power and intrigues. I was the head and leader of My communities.
My teaching of love was lived. In the process, because My followers were willing but still burdened with human weaknesses, mistakes were also made. This could not be avoided at such an early stage of a spiritual revolution; and naturally darkness was intent from the beginning on sowing unrest and discord.
After only a few decades the seed it had scattered began to sprout; first a little here and there, later across broad areas. The fascination, the contagious fire of a life of love for God and neighbor put into practice, diminished. The opposing forces had won an interim victory. They used the free will I had given the human being to seduce—unnoticed and in the smallest steps—those whose inner steadfastness was not great enough; which was almost always due to knowledge not being put into practice concerning what My exceedingly simple teaching required: love—and nothing else.
This, My eternal truth, will never change.

And so, against all resistance, throughout the many centuries I instructed My human children through My word, which never fell completely silent even though at times it had to go “underground” for a while. But I am not only patience; I also have the overview. I alone know the precise working of My spiritual laws, or to express it differently: My time is not your time!
Now My Spirit is blowing again with greater force; and those who have waited for My help sense that I am fulfilling My promise—to send My Spirit, the Comforter. Never before has such extensive enlightenment flowed into the world as in your time, and never before have you had more information at your disposal or learned more about spiritual background. Whoever has eyes and ears to see and hear can see and hear—if he wants to!
Among the fundamental knowledge indispensable if you are not to go blindly through life is the realization of why you are on earth at all. It must become within you a deep insight, your firmly rooted conviction, that you are children of the heavens who only temporarily spend an existence in matter.
Without acknowledging that there is no death in the sense you have believed up to now, but that every creature has eternal life, you cannot understand your being here, your destiny, your past, and your future. The questions Where from? Why? and Where to? then remain unanswered. How are you to find real comfort and firm confidence if you encounter only vague answers? How are you to build a stable house if the foundation stands on sandy ground?
One of the parables I have used from time to time is the image of a traveler. I want to bring it close to you and deepen it today as well, especially since I will connect with it an aspect that—even if it does not appear so at first glance—has to do with the right understanding of love for one’s neighbor. If you imagine that it is a mountain hike with the goal of reaching the summit, you will more easily understand what I want to tell you.
The starting point and destination of your journey are the same: the heavens, your eternal home. It is therefore a circular route, although it is not as “round” as the name might suggest. The course is not fixed; everyone may walk however and wherever he wishes. Only the destination is clearly defined. The moment you set out, therefore, you are already on the way home. When you arrive again at the point from which you started is subject to your own decision. You yourselves determine the length and difficulty of your path.
You will soon discover that you are not walking alone. Everywhere around you you discover fellow travelers, although very few are aware that they are moving toward any destination at all. Most stay in the valley, unaware that their daily effort could have a higher meaning. They remain standing in place.
This also describes quite well the situation of humanity as it existed on earth before My incarnation two thousand years ago. Only at that time, unlike today, there was practically no possibility of recognizing a higher meaning of life. Nor was a return of souls to their heavenly home—with a few exceptions—still possible, which was due to the so-called Fall. The gates of heaven were closed; humanity had moved farther than ever before from its “inner heaven.” I resolved to build My children a bridge on which they could once again enter their original home. I incarnated, brought them an additional energy, reopened heaven, and placed in the hands of human beings and souls the means needed for their way home: My simple teaching of love!
The forces of the Fall had, and still have, no interest in allowing the travelers living in the valley to set out; but on the other hand they could not prevent release from their grip in those who wanted to follow My teaching—figuratively speaking, the routes on My hiking map. I established, so to speak, a base station that was and is impregnable and that equipped every willing traveler with the necessary energy and countless forms of help. I spoke of this stronghold when I said that it cannot be overcome by the gates of hell. But churchmen gave My words a different meaning that suited them.
I have equipped you too, every single one of you, with My energy of love and the necessary equipment. If this were not so, you could not have set out on the way home on which you now are. In addition, I gave you My promise to wait for you at the summit.
At what point on your path to the summit have you arrived? Have you ever asked yourselves this question? If you acknowledge that your earthly life resembles a school in which the old is to be left behind and the new learned, then at some point—almost inevitably—the question should arise within you as to how far you have already come with your learning process. Have you already left the valley behind? Has the path already become easier? Does the summit still attract you to the same degree as it did at the beginning of the path and as your soul desires?
Rejoice if you look around and discover that you are already out of the valley; that stretches of your path are already sunlit; that you have not lost your hiking map; that you are able to read it correctly; and that, if you are vigilant, you already notice the help that is given to you always and everywhere.
You will discover that you are not alone on your journey. Countless others walk to your right and left, below and above you. Each has his own pace, his own style, his own resting places, his own ideas of how and when—and whether at all!—he wants to reach the summit. You too!
Because of free will, then, there are no regulations prescribing the criteria according to which the path must be walked. There is only the indication and accompanying explanation: The route is easiest to master if you orient yourselves by the hiking map called “love.” Which means that you do not merely know about this path, but actually walk it. If you use other maps for orientation, that may seem an easier way to you for the moment, but I tell you: no other map than My “map of love” brings you more quickly and safely to your destination. Yet—you have free will …

I emphasize the freedom of will of My children especially because this serves Me as a transition to what I want to tell you about love for your neighbor. With this I return to the often-mentioned principle of evolution, the continuously advancing development within My creation that also concerns the completely personal unfolding of each individual creature; thus also the maturation of the human being and of the soul dwelling within him.
The logic of the heart could tell you that your church teaching about the creation of the soul is false. According to it, at every act of conception I create from nothing a new soul that is immortal, leaves the body after bodily death, somehow and somewhere rests, and is then judged by Me at a “Last Judgment” and possibly condemned; and this for deeds committed by the human being to whom I am supposed to have assigned this soul.
In this way the truth of reincarnation, the repeated embodiment of a soul in a human body, was buried. It did not fit into the construction of these illogical and untenable ideas. Fears, feelings of guilt, inferiority complexes, and much more were the consequence of this false teaching, which at the same time served as an educational means to bind the ignorant to those who taught it.
My sons and daughters, use your reason!
I created free children who carry within themselves an immeasurably great potential of strength, wisdom, and love; who thus express My divine qualities. What makes them who they are, and what makes them strong, has grown within them in a process lasting aeons. They were not “suddenly there in one stroke,” so to speak finished creatures who had nothing to learn. They would have been like robots, without experiences of their own and without responsibility of their own.
To give you an example: the knowledge in your heads too first had to be acquired gradually; it had to grow within you. You could not have applied it, you could have drawn on nothing and compared nothing, if one morning you had awakened with a brain crammed full.
At every point in its immortal life every creature has an individual consciousness. If or as long as the being remains in the purely spiritual heavens, this consciousness is indeed shaped by its own will, but every creature has subordinated this own will to My holy will—out of love! Just as you pray continually when you speak the “Our Father”: “Your will be done.” The surrender of a creature of God in the heavens, however, is expressed a little differently, as it were one power higher, if you will: “I fulfill Your will.”
As soon as a spirit being leaves the heavens, it enters zones of greater or lesser density and enters realms in which negative forces operate. In the material world the soul is affected most strongly by this. Here it is subject to whisperings and influences that do everything they can to impair—that is, weaken—the formerly clear consciousness and try to shape it according to laws that are not divine. This applies to all human beings and souls; it applied to Me too. The greater the tasks a spirit being has undertaken for this incarnation, the greater also are the temptations and attacks.
Pay attention to what I now tell you: No one—no soul and no human being—can act against his consciousness! Consciousness determines what you desire or refrain from doing, what you strive for or fight against, where you are drawn, or in what direction you move of your own free will. But your consciousness, the present condition of your inner being or your soul, is the fruit of what you yourselves have created through your thinking, your words, and your actions. You carry creative powers within you, even though in most cases they are wrongly used or misused.
If, then, you want to achieve a change in your behavior, a change must first take place in your consciousness. Otherwise you cannot act differently from what you are capable of. The same applies to your neighbor. And before something changes, a decision must be made. I do not change you against your will; that would not be compatible with My law of love. Changes are ultimately brought about by each one himself sooner or later, initiated either through insight, through the law of cause and effect, or also through My help because of a sincere cry from the depths of the soul, which always reaches My heart immediately and just as immediately calls forth a response from Me.
To the same degree that you claim the right to be as you are, your neighbor too has the right to his individuality, his own faults, his own development, his own consciousness. The fact that this does not always correspond to your ideas does not entitle you to apply your standards of “you must do this and you must leave that” to your neighbor. Where would you be if I applied My standards to you?

I spoke of your having many fellow travelers at your side. Those who are already a little ahead of you could serve as examples. But what about those who, in your eyes, still have difficulty taking their next steps? Those who have not really gotten out of their starting blocks yet, or who, for as long as you can remember, are still striving to climb at the same place? Do they not have the right to determine for themselves how they want to walk their path?
Remember that evolution means having to carry out every step of development. Nothing can be omitted; no experience—if it is important for the growth of the soul—can be avoided, even if in your eyes it would be far better for the other person simply to take at once the position “on the mountain face” that you have already worked your way to.
And what if he does not want to? What if, because of his consciousness, he cannot yet take this step because it is too great for him? Or because skipping a rung on his ladder of development would bring him nothing at all? How do you behave? By this I do not mean so much what you do outwardly, but what takes place in your thoughts and words.
One of the most widespread faults you commit toward your brother or sister is that you cannot accept, allow, and love your neighbor as he is. In most cases you are not aware that in doing so you violate the commandment of love—and quite seriously.
You thereby resemble travelers who look negatively upon everyone still walking below them merely because they have not yet reached the “heights” on which you already move. If you could, you would prefer to seize them by the collar and pull them up to you—consciousness or no consciousness. In doing so you forget that they simply cannot yet do what you want from them.
To become aware of the dimension of such wrong behavior, you need only imagine that those who are already ahead of you do the same or something similar to you: lift you upward, simply remove you from your ideas and habits of life, change your character against your will, and withhold from you much that is still important to you now. If not by force, then through constant pressure to push you as quickly as possible in the direction considered right. How would you feel?
The greatest opposite of love is lack of love. It is the root of all evil. There is often a lack of clarity and insight about everything that falls under lack of love. Demeaning other people because of their character, even if only in thought, certainly belongs here. This sin is often underestimated because it usually does not appear openly. Yet with it, willingly or unwillingly, you release negative energies that—like everything contrary—sooner or later turn against their originator and not infrequently poison him inwardly, unless this unlawful conduct is stopped in time.
To love your neighbor does not mean approving his behavior. But it does mean seeing him, despite all his faults and weaknesses, as a brother or sister who, just like you, is on the way home. Loving your neighbor also means meeting him where he stands, just as I too meet you at the level of development at which you presently find yourselves. The task of all who have decided to follow Me resembles that of a physician who may not look with demeaning thoughts at the background of his patient’s illness, but may offer the necessary therapy and, with the sick person’s consent, carry it out.
Helping a fellow traveler master a difficult passage is by far the better alternative to placing yourselves above him or trying to instruct him with knowledge you have read. Even if in your eyes the help is only small and does not immediately bring visible fruit, it can nevertheless represent the necessary step for your neighbor without which he could not have overcome the next hurdle. Evolution!
You know nothing about your neighbor’s past as a soul and nothing about the points that must be set for his future. So do not concern yourselves with things that lie outside your ability to grasp. Leave that calmly in My hands.

When you travel full of joy, you will repeatedly meet like-minded people, exchange thoughts, perhaps also walk together for a while. And if you leave it to Me to determine the rhythm of your progress, you can be certain that there will be no overtaxing of your strength and nothing that is not good for your soul—while I do not disregard your bodily well-being either. The degrees of difficulty you encounter will remain within limits because I am at your side.
Then the enthusiasm that seized early Christianity will also become noticeable in your life; and the longing to reach the summit as soon as possible will be the engine that repeatedly gives you new strength. Your love for Me and your desire finally to break through the clouds and see the light will keep you from becoming sluggish, even though from time to time there will again be stretches requiring a little more perseverance and strength than usual.
The dark forces of the valley will strive to prevent your ascent or at least make it more difficult, because they would only too gladly keep you within their sphere of influence. Every traveler who approaches the light is lost to them and weakens their power. Therefore you must remain vigilant and reckon with attractive offers being made to keep you from your undertaking as summit climbers. Worse, however, than the obvious things with which they try to lure you are the attacks, usually unnoticed by you, at the weak points of your soul.
In moments of temptation and weakness remember what I promised you: that I will wait for you. “I have an appointment at the summit”—this thought can become for you a source of strength against which all the efforts of darkness to keep you from a steady ascent break like roaring surf against cliffs.
I desire burning hearts. I desire human children who, as in the time of awakening two thousand years ago, say yes to a life free of constrictions and bonds, and instead shaped by personal responsibility, clarity, courage, and love for their neighbor. I have created the conditions for this; the “base camp” stands ready to supply willing travelers with everything they need for their path.
Whoever sets out as a summit climber will soon discover that the route is easier to master and no longer as dangerous as it was a few centuries ago. At the same time, if he is attentive, he will notice the many traps the forces of darkness have set. But at My hand and in trust in My word, which never leaves him or any of his fellow travelers, these obstacles too will not be insurmountable for him. In any case they do not represent a permanent blockage on the way to the summit.
I am waiting for you, you, and you. My blessing gives you the strength you need if you set out with a heart kindled in love.
