Divine Revelation
My beloved brothers and sisters, I, Jesus Christ, the love within the Father, open the hearts turned toward Me and radiate into your consciousness so that My words find a response within you and good fruit may grow from the seed I thereby place within you; fruit nourished by the “logic of the heart” that I teach you, because in this way “having merely to believe” becomes an ability to follow and understand within you.
When today I point out to you the fact that the earth represents a school for all human beings, a school they enter at birth and leave again at what you call death, I am telling you nothing new. This view of an “earth school” is accepted by many people, sometimes, however, all too quickly, without their being aware of the deep meaning of this expression and considering and observing the consequences that follow from it. And that is why I deliberately address this subject, because it has many layers and contains countless aspects about which scarcely any thought is given. Yet a closer examination of them, a deepening of them, and finally putting them into practice constitute the key to doing well “at the end of school.” And this end in turn determines the beginning of your spiritual schooling, your life “beyond the veil.”
When school and learning are spoken of, this indicates that there is something that has either not yet been mastered or can be improved. To acknowledge this necessity at all is one of the basic prerequisites—for everyone without exception—if a human being wants consciously and decisively to begin the journey back to his eternal home. This also applied to Me then as Jesus of Nazareth; for I did not stand outside the eternal divine-spiritual laws that apply to every incarnation and every life.
Your earth school gives you your learning tasks even without a conscious decision—by which I mean the yes of which I speak again and again—but in many cases these tasks are then not recognized, or not immediately recognized, as such. Yet this changes nothing about the fact that they must be solved, often under difficult conditions, in ignorance, with reluctance and rebellion, and not infrequently over a period extending through several incarnations.
You have all experienced firsthand that the tasks are different for everyone. The reason lies in the condition of your soul, which in turn expresses itself through and within the human being. Every soul has a different past, and therefore every human being has something different to work through and learn. You brought with you your different characters, peculiarities, and patterns of behavior, for no soul enters matter unburdened—so to speak, “fresh as a rose.” The often striking differences in the personalities of several siblings in the same family cannot be explained except by the differing structures of their souls, including their basic spiritual mentality, especially when all have received approximately the same care and upbringing. Scientific explanations that bring into play the role of genes and theories of heredity fall short here.
It is the soul, with its strengths and weaknesses, that determines human behavior, even though according to the law of spiritual attraction no soul comes by chance into a family by which it is then naturally shaped to a greater or lesser degree over the years—especially the early years. But what the soul carries within itself, what it may have undertaken to learn before its incarnation, is what repeatedly breaks through in the life of the human being, makes itself noticeable, and seeks to be resolved and redeemed. For soul and human being form an inseparable unity for the duration of the incarnation. Thus what comes to the individual human being—in a different form for each—is what is important and right for him, and it does so with absolute precision. For My law, which is love and guides everyone individually, works without error.

What is taught to students in a worldly school is primarily knowledge. The school of life, with its spiritual background, has a different learning goal: Here the aim is to move the human being to orient his behavior toward his neighbor and himself more and more according to the commandment of love. At the same time his love for Me also grows. If this is also the desire and will of the human being, I stand at his side. I am then, in practical terms, the pilot whom the human being has asked aboard his ship of life. And with Me are countless spiritual helpers who, according to the situation and need, set the switches and guide the human being’s steps.
But even when the human being has set other priorities, when he wants to go his own ways and does so, he is not released from My love. Like everyone and everything, he stands under the law of bringing all home, which allows no one to be lost. The necessity, however, of learning with regard to his spiritual goal—that is, of bringing about a change within himself, in his thinking and behavior—remains. The learning tasks, self-created through his own behavior in the past, must be undertaken on the path still ahead of him. With the necessary willingness and the request for help from heaven, this process is considerably easier to master.
When the word character is used, many people immediately connect it with a judgment of good or evil. That is why it is not easy for everyone to speak of strengthening and forming character; after all, that presupposes that the character is not yet as noble as the human being often likes to imagine or wishes it to be. But if honest realization is not connected with devaluing or condemning oneself, and if joy is already appearing “on the horizon” at soon being allowed to experience a change toward what is good and positive, then there is no reason not to use the term character freely and openly.
And therefore I tell you: What I call inner work and bring close to you in many revelations has one and only one goal: to promote the formation and strengthening of character in the human being! For with every step the human being takes in this direction, he grows more and more into the universal law of My love!
My brothers and sisters very often face the problem of not knowing or recognizing what concretely needs to be changed in their lives. Or they find it difficult to see the necessity of doing something differently in this area or that. No one has to! I am also freedom, for love without freedom does not exist. And everyone may and can claim this freedom for himself.
But often it is only a lack of attentiveness toward yourselves, lack of courage, inertia, carelessness, self-pity, and other things that cloud your view of the points and occasions at which something could be done differently—indeed perhaps should have been done differently long ago because this or that behavior bothers you yourselves. It is not always the “great sins” that make life difficult for you. Very often habits, opinions, patterns of behavior, peculiarities, and other things you have made your own over the years turn out to be “brake blocks.” Without your noticing it, they can negatively influence the further development of your soul, even though in the long run they do not represent truly serious obstacles. But they can be the breeding ground for faults and weaknesses that surface again and again through them, even and especially when you think you have already overcome them.
If you sense inwardly, you will suspect or know what I mean. Does not order, for example—a divine quality—also belong to the foundation of acting in the spirit of love? And what follows from a lack of order? Inability or unwillingness to let go, expectations, blaming others and oneself, wanting to please everyone out of fear of otherwise not being loved, lack of consistency, reluctance to make decisions, and much more also belong to weaknesses of character that many do not at first recognize as needing change.
Do not pass over them so quickly when they enter your life. Accept them as an impulse of the day that wants to tell you something. Whether the human being regards a trait as needing change depends not least on whether the desire is strong enough within him to find his way home again by relieving his soul step by step, and with My help, of what still weighs upon it.
I, your friend and brother within you and at your side, am also here for working on these human imperfections! I am the One who lives in each of you as the divine energy that pours itself out eternally! I am the One who gives you the necessary insight and strength to overcome them when you come to Me with them. This too belongs to the task of a pilot; and provided you accept this help, which comes from selfless and unconditional love, your ship of life will be steered by Me into calmer waters.

When someone points out a fault to you—especially when you already know it yourself—a trap often lurks in the background, skillfully set by the opposing side to make a deeper examination of the causes more difficult or prevent it: “Yes, I know,” the answer in many cases is, “that comes from my childhood. I was brought up that way.” Or: “It developed because this person or that …” or “I cannot help it; others are responsible for that,” or, or, or … Of course everything has a cause; nothing simply arises or develops without a reason. One can therefore find a trigger for everything, one that is usually attributed to other people or special circumstances.
Everything has its cause somewhere in the past. Can that be an argument for accepting one’s own behavior as it is—perhaps as it has been for a long time—without considering whether life might not be easier to master without this burden? The point is not to deny formative influences from the past, but neither may they serve as a reason for fixing in place a mentality of “this-is-just-the-way-I-am,” which makes it difficult for you to free yourselves from these old burdens. Of course overcoming them involves a little work—that is why I call it “inner work”—but I take a large part of this work from you. If you wish it.
And beyond that consider: Wherever the causes lie in the past, whenever they were set, and by whomever they were reinforced, the weaknesses resulting from them today will in any case have to be worked on and transformed into strengths. There is therefore no real reason to postpone an honest look and a courageous decision until some point far in the future.
Remember, My beloved brothers and sisters, that nothing in creation takes place outside the law; that there are therefore no coincidences, but that the law of attraction or repulsion governs coexistence and what you call fate. What befalls an individual has in some way something to do with him—apart from the few exceptions, which nevertheless are all subject to the law, but which I do not include in this consideration.
At the beginning I said that no soul enters this matter unburdened in order to take up residence in a human being for the duration of an earthly life. If there are several incarnations, which is the rule, then the material body represents a new dwelling for the soul each time, while the soul is always the same and remains the same. But the unity of soul and body that forms at birth also means that an uninterrupted exchange takes place between the subtle-soul part and the gross-material part, beginning even before birth and continuing until the end of life.
The newborn therefore already carries within itself—still unrecognized by everyone—its later personality and thus what the soul has undertaken for the new life. Its character traits now gradually express themselves. They can be influenced primarily by parents and educators and by the environment in which the human being lives. Ideally, the good qualities are strengthened and the less good ones overcome—with many gradations within this process and many variations. The formation and strengthening of character has begun.
The interaction between human being and soul means that, on the one hand, corresponding things flow from the soul into the human being and express themselves through him, while on the other hand the human being, through his behavior, leaves his mark upon his soul. Seen in this way, human being and soul continually program one another. If what is negative predominates, then in the truest sense of the word one can speak of a “vicious circle,” because the one acts upon the other and thereby patterns of behavior arise that engrave themselves ever more deeply into the human-soul complex.
Provided the incarnation was prepared with an intended evolution in mind, the soul’s goal is to carry out what it undertook. For in such a case it is its desire to free itself from old burdens and, through successfully completed learning tasks—if necessary, however, also through working them off—to become brighter, which at the same time means reaching a higher degree of vibration, which in turn is connected with receiving greater spiritual energy. This increased flow of energy represents the selfless gift of heaven, in keeping with the statement I have often brought close to you: Whoever serves the law, the law serves him.
If the human being follows the needs of his awakening soul, this also has physical effects, because more life-energy then flows into the human being through the soul, and an ever greater harmony arises between the two. This subsequently expresses itself in spiritual and physical freshness, also in joy of life, a positive view of the future—including the future that follows physical death—enthusiasm, helpfulness, forbearance toward oneself and others, and much more.
If the human being does not follow what his soul strives for—especially if he consciously does not do so, that is, if he acts against better knowledge—then this process is reversed. The soul becomes shadowed, its vibration falls, the intended harmonization between soul and body does not take place, and the scale pan marked “soul” sinks instead of rising. The same thing, only to a greater degree, happens when the human being unrestrainedly follows the lower instincts of his soul, a soul that has gone into incarnation out of self-centeredness and solely to fulfill desires that are not in accordance with the law.

My brothers and sisters, if you could look into the world still invisible to you, you would see that good and bad forces are ceaselessly concerned with every human being. This means, on the one hand, the work of your guardian angels and spiritual helpers, but on the other hand also the endeavor of dark powers to influence the human being in their spirit. Guidance is easier for both sides when they encounter corresponding dispositions of soul and human being in the form of good or bad intentions, selfless or egoistic plans, constructive or destructive inner feelings and thoughts. Light fails to guide when the human being yields to the opposing forces, and darkness fails when conscience stirs within the human being and he makes a decision in the spirit of justice and love.
Two thousand years ago I came into this world in order to give souls and human beings the energy necessary to free themselves, by free decision, from the grip of darkness. At My so-called death on Golgotha I gave them My strengthening and redeeming light of love. What I could not give people—because consciousness at that time was not yet developed far enough—were detailed guidance and help that would make it easier to put the commandment of love for God and neighbor into practice.
But through all the centuries I never remained silent! Again and again I poured out My Spirit in order to call My own, shake them awake, remind them of their divine inheritance, and point out to them the necessity of a life in My footsteps. The time has come—but not only today—in which deeper instruction can be given through My spirit of love. And in the coming time I will lead the willing into ever greater truths and wisdom, which is possible because more and more hearts are opening to the simple teaching of universal love and, at the same time, heaven is radiating more strongly into your matter and your spiritual surroundings.
And so, little by little, people will recognize that their true origin is a spiritual home: the eternal home in infinity and in indescribable light. They will understand that there is a necessity to change their lives, and that this change is fundamentally nothing other than the fulfillment of the commandment of love that I brought and lived before you. I have not taken back one iota of what I have so far brought to the world in admonitions and encouragement, enlightenment and knowledge; nor will I do so in future, because there is no reason for it and never will be. But I lead you more and more into the spiritual connections that are valid not only in creation but also determine your life.
For I want to bring you home, I want to gather you into My arms again, I want to satisfy My longing for you.
Faith as a source of strength for soul and human being is something wonderful, provided it is a faith not falsified by human intellect and drawing its strength solely from the fact that God is love, and that this love stands above everything. Alongside faith, knowledge can be a great help in keeping you from blindly adhering to false teachings that do not lead into freedom. For this reason too I have poured out much knowledge over humanity. Yet here too darkness was not inactive.
Therefore, My beloved: Be watchful regarding the accumulation of knowledge; by this I do not mean the knowledge that flows from your inner source and lawfully opens itself within you little by little—in keeping with the expansion of your consciousness—when you walk the path with good will and sincere endeavor. When knowledge serves to draw the right conclusions from what has been recognized and then put them into action, it has fulfilled its task. But if it merely represents an accumulation in your heads, there is a risk that it becomes dead knowledge that only burdens you. Many among you do not see the danger threatened by the accumulation of knowledge while the necessary putting into practice and application in daily life are neglected.
I tell you, in the long run it blocks the development desired and sought by your soul. Such a person is like a silo filled to the brim with seed that is actually intended, by being sown into the soil, to bring forth good fruit in others and in himself. If it is merely hoarded, it eventually loses its power as the “salt of the earth” and becomes unusable.
I call out to all who recognize themselves in these words: “Your soul is waiting for you to put your knowledge into practice!” At least that part of the soul is waiting that has preserved its clarity, in which the memory of its true home and the desire to return home are still present. I stand as pilot at the side of everyone who strives to put it into practice—if you bring Me aboard.
If you wish, reflect wisely on My words. Think of the unity formed by your soul and your human self; consider also the mutual programming, which can become positive through and through if you wish it. “As the tree falls, so it lies,” says one of your proverbs with regard to the soul’s transition into the beyond. That it may be a good transition, resembling a successful result at the end of earth school—for this too I came into the world. For this too I raise My word everywhere, with which I write into your heart and into your soul:
“I, love, live within you. Give Me your hand, and let us walk together the path that still lies ahead of you. It will be, I promise you, a wonderful time. I love you.”
Amen.
